  'I was afraid for his life' - woman saw brother try to fight off attacker before he was fatally shot A gunshot victim tried to fight off his attacker before he was shot multiple times, an inquest heard. Christopher Zambra (39) parked outside his sister’s house on Cooley Road, Drimnagh, Dublin 12 on May 4 2014. Witnesses saw a gunman chase him before the pair engaged in a tussle and Mr Zambra fell over a fence into a garden. Sharon Farrington said she saw a man in a ski mask chase another man down the street from her bedroom window. Christopher Zambra "The man caught up with him and I ran away from the window. I said, is it Christopher? I was afraid for his life," Mrs Farrington said.

AZTEC, N.M. (AP) — A shooting at a high school in a small New Mexico town left two students and the suspect dead, authorities said Thursday as schools throughout the area remained on lockdown as a precaution.

State police did not release any details about the shooter but confirmed the other two people who were killed attended Aztec High School. The school of about 900 students was cordoned off as authorities cleared the buildings and teens were taken to another location.

A crowd of nervous parents gathered outside City Hall to wait for more information as officers tried to reassure them about the safety of their children.

  Investigation launched at south Dublin school after female teacher gives pupil device containing topless picture of herself An investigation was launched at a south Dublin school after a female teacher gave a teenage boy a computer which contained a topless photo of her on it. The incident happened early last week when the boy opened the device, said to be a laptop or tablet, and found the photograph of the teacher topless with her breasts exposed.The student reportedly then copied the image, added a message to it, and circulated it on social media.Sources said there are reports that the image has been re-shared many more times and that it has now spread to people as far away as Cork.Independent.

“The families of the victims were notified immediately. They are in our thoughts and prayers,” state police said in a statement on social media.

State and federal authorities are investigating what led to the shooting and did not immediately release any details about the circumstances.

Aztec is a rural community of 6,500 people in the heart of northwestern New Mexico’s oil and gas country and near the Navajo Nation. Its main street is lined by old brick buildings that date back more than a century.

One dead in school bus crash during rush hour .
A man has died after the school bus he was driving collided with a lorry and a car on the outskirts of Aberdeen. The vehicles crashed on the South Deeside Road, close to the Maryculter Bridge, at 7.45am.Thirteen children from Lathallan School in Johnshaven were on the bus.Richard Toley, headteacher at Lathallan School, told Northsound News: "These pupils are safe and accounted for."No pupils have been seriously injured and pupils are either with parents or members of staff now.
