  70-year-old cyclist killed in crash Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.At around 11.30am gardaí attended the scene of an incident involving a car and a cyclist on the R153 Balrath near Kentstown. A 70-year-old male cyclist was removed from the scene by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda where he was later pronounced dead.

A major commuter route is closed this morning following a collision.

The collision occurred shortly before 7am on the N11 Wexford to Dublin Road in the northbound carriage.

The incident is located shortly before Junction 12 at Newtownmountkennedy.

Gardaí are diverting traffic at Junction 13 Newcastle.

AA Roadwatch is reporting the traffic to be "very slow" on approach. have contacted the gardaí for comment.

Meanwhile, an earlier collision inbound on North Strand Road before Annesley Bridge has been cleared.

AA Roadwatch warned commuters of frost this morning.

"Cold morning across the country, with patches of frost in many places. If you're on frosty roads, slow down & leave extra space," they wrote online.
