  Murder probe launched six years after Pat Heeran went missing in Co Leitrim This was originally a missing person case, but is now being dealt with as a murder investigation .Gardai and the Defence Forces are set to begin digging a search area tomorrow.They have also renewed their appeal for information.The 48-year-old is described as being 5'9" in height, of a stocky build, with fair hair.He was wearing brown shoes, blue jeans and a brown jacket when he was last seen.Anyone with information is asked to contact Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station on 071-9650510, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

One man was aged in his 30s and the other was in his 70s.

An investigation has been launched by Gardaí.

Members of Kildare Fire Brigade were called to the scene at Tully East shortly before 3am last night.

Gardaí and members of the Garda Forensic Team also attended the scene of the fatal fire.

When the emergency services arrived at the scene the house was engulfed in flames and the roof had collapsed.

Three fire engines and two water tankers were used to extinguish the fire.

The adjoining house was evacuated amid fears the fire would spread.
