A 59-year-old man was seriously injured and a 23-year-old woman sustained minor injuries. They were both taken by ambulance to St Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny. Their injuries are described as non life threatening.A garda spokesman said: “The driver of the vehicle failed to remain at the scene.“Investigating gardaí are appealing for witnesses. GARDAI ARE APPEALING for witnesses after two people were knocked down by a 4x4 in a hit and run in Carlow yesterday.

The incident happened on a local road in the Urglin Rutland area of Carlow town at around 8.20pm.

A 59-year-old man was seriously injured and a 23-year-old woman sustained minor injuries. They were both taken by ambulance to St Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny. Their injuries are described as non life threatening.

Two 15-year-olds were also rushed to hospital after cops were called to the scene. The 14-year-old girl who died in in Glasgow has been named locally as Zoe Bremner.
