  Fugitive Jamie Acourt arrested in Barcelona Jamie Acourt, one of Britain's most wanted fugitives, has been captured in Barcelona during a joint police operation. The 41-year-old, from south London, was arrested by armed officers after he left the Metropolitan Sagrada Familia Gym on Friday afternoon.He had been wanted by Met Police since 2016 on suspicion of involvement in a large-scale drugs supply operation, and the force was assisted in making the arrest by the National Crime Agency (NCA) and Spanish National Police.

On October 19 last year, the boy had called the IGI Airport saying there was a bomb on one of the flights. A 13-year-old boy was apprehended from Bhubaneswar on Sunday for making a hoax bomb call to the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Diwali last year.

An Indigo airline employee has been arrested for making a hoax call regarding a bomb on a Mumbai-bound flight at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi earlier this month, police said on Sunday.

Kartik Madhav Bhat, 23, made the call and it was received at the Indigo Airlines office in the cargo complex of the airport at 8.15 am. on May 2, said Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjay Bhatia.

Subsequently, a few Mumbai-bound flights were checked and the call was declared a hoax.

The CEO of a US-based company has been arrested for allegedly making a hoax bomb call at the Mumbai International Airport after apparently being miffed over flight delays, an official said on Tuesday.

A case was registered and police zeroed in on the owner of the mobile phone from which the call was made. Bhat was finally located in Pune.

The accused is serving as customer service officer in Indigo airlines at the Pune airport.

Bhat told police that his job performance was not up to the mark and he had been given a verbal notice to improve his performance in three months or face action.

“He was depressed and made the call out of frustration and to teach a lesson to the airlines. The phone’s SIM card has been seized from him,” the official said.
