  Trump and Putin spoke on the phone for more than an hour today President Donald Trump spent more than an hour speaking on the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, according to the White House.  During the lengthy phone conversation, the two leaders spoke about a joint statement issued at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit earlier this month. Both leaders were in Asia at the same time, but did not have a formal meeting — which the White House had blamed scheduling conflicts.

Speaking at the HT Leadership Summit in a question-answer session, he explained to Karan Thapar that the night before the waiter who served him daal, among other dishes, began explaining how daal was made. Obama said he told him that he need not do so, since he knew how to make daal and had his own recipe learnt from his Indian roommate when he was a student.

Even while he began speaking about his daal expertise at the summit, both the hand-held mikes of the interviewer and the interviewee malfunctioned. The two had to enter into off-mike small talk before it was replaced a couple of minutes later. "My keema is also good, and my chicken is OK," the main who earlier headed the most powerful office in the world said to smiles all around.

When Thapar asked him whether he could make a chapati, Obama said he could not. "Chapati is hard," the man who was one of the most popular presidents of the United States said.

He heaped praise on current president Michael D Higgins and to say that the two of them are very good friends.He was then asked the question again in a more round-about way, whether he was ruling out a run, and Bertie said “no,” before mischievously wishing everybody a Happy Christmas.The interview then ended, leaving listeners in no doubt that a stint in the Áras is definitely still under consideration for Bertie.But, whether there will be a vacancy or not is still not known, as Michael D has not ruled out running for a second seven year term.
