  Teen held over 'horrific' attack on woman in park A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a "horrific assault" on a woman in a Leicester park. The woman, who is in her 20s, was walking alone across a well-lit section of Victoria Park when she was dragged into the bushes and subjected to a brutal attack.She was found with head and upper body injuries near the recycling bins at around 12.40am on Tuesday.The attack is believed to have taken place at around 11.40pm on Monday night.She was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in a critical condition.It is not yet clear whether she knew her attacker.

James Brindley, 26, was stabbed in the heart as he walked home at about 11.45pm on June 23, but, just over two weeks on, nobody has been arrested over the death.

His parents paid tribute to their “most precious son”, saying his killing in Aldridge, West Midlands, had been “like a bolt out of the blue”.

Last week the Chief Constable of West Midlands Police urged the public to help bring Mr Brindley’s killers to justice.

Immediately after the attack, four schoolboys rushed to his side and tried in vain to save his life with first aid.

In what detectives are calling a “significant development”, police have identified and now released footage of two men they want to speak to.

The pair are seen on film in the Whetstone Lane and Churn Hill Road area of the town both before and after James was stabbed in Little Aston Road near The Croft.

It is thought the men had come from the direction of Bosty Lane and headed back that way.

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Mallett, who is leading the investigation, said: “This is a significant development in our investigation and I would urge anyone who recognises either of these men to contact us as a matter of urgency.
