Опубликовано: 18 июн. 2018 г. Do Steven Gerrard comments suggest Dominic Solanke could still join Rangers ? Earlier this month, The Scottish Sun reported that Rangers are interested in signing Solanke from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has denied claims that his side will complete the signing of Dominic Solanke on a season-long loan.

For some time now, the promising Reds forward has been linked with a move to Scotland, as Gerrard continues to assess the areas of his squad that need strengthening.

However, the Liverpool legend was quick to quieten speculation linking Solanke with a move to Ibrox, as he told Rangers TV:

“It’s speculation, it’s just speculation.”

Solanke appears to have found himself low down in the pecking order at Anfield as the new season approaches, with Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi now available to Jurgen Klopp.

Should Celtic challenge Scottish Premiership rivals Glasgow Rangers for Dominic Solanke before he winds up at Ibrox? According to The Scottish Sun, the Liverpool hitman is interested in the prospect of joining Gerrard at Rangers in a loan switch from the Premier League side.

RANGERS manager Steven Gerrard has refused to be drawn into too much talk of a move for Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke . Goalkeeper Alisson has joined midfielders Naby Keita and Fabinho in making the move to Anfield, while forward Xheridan Shaqiri has also signed.

The loan window for clubs across the United Kingdom is still open, however, and the Reds could be tempted to seek a temporary move away for Solanke should the opportunity present itself.

Solanke was afforded opportunities on a sporadic basis last season but failed to truly convince in his first season at Liverpool.

Bookmakers pay out on Celtic's title win after just one game .
Celtic got their title defence off to a brilliant start with a 3-1 victory over Livingston on Saturday and some bookmakers have already seen enough. Following Rangers’ 1-1 draw with fellow title rivals Aberdeen, Paddy Power began to pay out bets for Celtic to clinch another league title. James Tavernier had put Rangers in front with a first-half goal before Aberdeen equalised in the dying moments of the game, something that prompted quite the reaction from Steven Gerrard. Celtic on the other hand, got off to a flying start with a stylish victory on Saturday. Goals from Tom Rogic, Odsonne Edouard and Olivier Ntcham gave the Hoops all three points. Rogic picked up where he left off from last season with a brilliant performance at Parkhead. While it is way too early to tell if the Bhoys will defend their title and secure an eighth consecutive trophy, Brendan Rodgers’ side are certainly the favourites once again.
