Chelsea target Bonucci eyes move away from Milan

Chelsea target Bonucci eyes move away from Milan Leonardo Bonucci is reportedly keen to leave AC Milan this summer, amid interest from Premier League trio Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City. According to claims from Spazio Milan, as cited in a report from Football Italia, the experienced central defender’s agent Alessandro Lucci has contacted the club to inform them that Bonucci would like to leave San Siro this summer. Bonucci has endured a difficult tenure with Milan following his move from Juventus last summer and is also understood to be the club’s highest earner. This could prompt Milan to sanction the sale of Bonucci to a potential suitor like Chelsea this summer, as they continue to come under pressure regarding their compliance with the Financial Fair Play regulations. Bonucci has established himself as one of the world’s best central defenders in recent years but could be set to seek pastures new after a relatively unsuccessful spell with Milan. Chelsea do, however, appear to be on the verge of signing Daniele Rugani from Juventus, indicating that another central defender may not be on their agenda.

Higuain open to Milan move amid Chelsea interest .
Chelsea could face competition from AC Milan in the race to sign Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus this summer. The Argentina international is expected to be on the move ahead of the upcoming season, with Juve having completed a deal to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid. Higuain has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge as a reunion with former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri continues to be touted as a genuine possibility this summer. However, according to fresh claims from Italy, the 30-year-old would be willing to stay in Serie A for the foreseeable future, with a move to Milan emerging as a potential destination. The Italian giants are in the midst of financial problems, with their ownership structure currently under intense scrutiny. However, the uncertainty that surrounds Milan as a club does not appear to have deterred its appeal to Higuain, who is weighing up his options ahead of next season. In order to fund Milan’s potential move for Higuain, it’s believed that the club may look to sell Andre Silva for a substantial fee, with newly-promoted Premier League side Wolves allegedly interested.
