Chelsea target Golovin favours move to Juventus

Chelsea target Golovin favours move to Juventus CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksander Golovin reportedly favours a move to Juventus this summer, despite heavy interest from Chelsea and Arsenal. While both the Blues and the Gunners have been keen on bringing in the 22-year old Russian this summer, it now appears he favours a move to Turin over London, according to Calciomercato who cite Tuttosport. While reports in recent weeks have claimed Chelsea had been leading the chase for Golovin, now it appears the Blues will have to play keep up with Juventus firmly in front. The Italian Serie A champions hold a significant advantage over the Premier League duo, namely that the Bianconeri will compete in the Champions League this season, which could well have weighed in on Golovin’s decision. The £27million rated midfielder starred for Russia during this summer’s World Cup, where the host nation reached the quarter-finals of the tournament. With Chelsea still undergoing a managerial changing process, and with no signings having been made yet, Golovin siding with Juventus could prove to be an untimely inconvenience for the Blues.

Arsenal ’s Héctor Bellerín has come to question his career direction and is a prime summer transfer target for Juventus .

Arsenal and Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid's out-of- favour midfielder Dani Ceballos in the summer. The Spaniard would favour a switch back to Real Betis if possible.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the CSKA Moscow for some months now, but it seems they are trailing Juventus in the race to secure his services.

It was initially believed that Chelsea had stolen a march on their competitors, with a £27 million deal in the offing to recruit Golovin following his impressive World Cup campaign with Russia this summer.

However, according to fresh claims from Italy, the promising midfielder’s preferred destination is, in fact, Juventus.

Juventus midfielder emerges as a target for Arsenal Arsenal have been linked with a surprise swoop for Juventus star Rodrigo Bentancur. The midfielder enjoyed a strong season in Italy and also shone at the World Cup this summer as he helped his native Uruguay to reach the quarter-final stage of the competition. Bentancur was reportedly eyed by Arsenal prior to his big move to Juventus and according to fresh claims from the Italian media, he has emerged as a target for the Gunners once again. Unai Emery and his recruitment team have already made significant efforts to bolster the team’s midfield, notably through the acquisition of Bentancur’s international teammate Lucas Torreira. However, it’s believed by Gazzetta (via Calciomercato) that the 21-year-old is a target for both Arsenal and Barcelona this summer. Bentancur has established himself as one of the most promising midfield players in European football and, understandably so, it is reported that Juventus would not be willing to sanction the sale of their midfielder. However, it seems Arsenal do have a long-standing interest in the youngster, and could yet make a move in the not so distant future.

However, with interest in the player having intensified, it seems the Gunners will miss out on Golovin, as Juventus and Chelsea lead the race.

Liverpool ask about Paulo Dybala .
Liverpool have reportedly asked about Juventus star Paulo Dybala, amid rumours of a Juve switch for Cristiano Ronaldo. Rumour has been rampant since yesterday, claiming that the Serie A champions are closing in on an £88million deal for Real Madrid star Ronaldo. While that deal edges closer to completion, reportedly, the Reds have enquired about Dybala, who fears that his position could be in doubt in Turin. That is according to FootballItalia, citing Tuttomercatoweb, who state that at this stage it is just a question being asked. While a deal does seem unlikely, with Dybala considered one of the biggest talents in world football, the Argentinian hasn’t had a stellar year, at least not by his standards. Despite scoring 22 goals in 33 Serie A appearances last season, Dybala struggled for minutes at this summer’s World Cup, only playing a part as a substitute. Still, if Liverpool could pull off a deal for the 24-year old, it would cement their position as a Premier League title threatening side.
