Juventus make Gonzalo Higuain available for transfer Juventus have reportedly made Gonzalo Higuain available for transfer following Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival at the club. Calcio Mercato reports that the Old Lady have made up their mind and are now waiting for offers in the region of €55 million. Chelsea have been linked with the striker throughout the summer transfer window. Claims in Italy have suggested that Maurizio Sarri could launch a move to bring him to Stamford Bridge, with Alvaro Morata continuing to be linked with a return to Serie A. Milan, Inter, Juventus and Napoli have all been credited with an interest in Morata, but Chelsea’s stance on a summer sale remains unclear. Juventus could be set to ask Chelsea for the inclusion of Alvaro Morata in their pursuit of Gonzalo Higuain this summer, according to Italian reports.

The Old Lady have been consistently linked with a move for Morata in recent months and with the Blues closing in on their star striker Higuain, Corriere dello Sport (via Calciomercato) indicate that Juve could look to demand the Spanish forward as a sweetener in any deal.

With the appointment of Maurizio Sarri as Chelsea’s new manager seemingly imminent, Higuain is understood to be a top target for the club.

Juventus are believed to be open to selling their star forward despite his impressive performances throughout last season. This is largely down to the recent arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid in a deal worth £99.2 million.

It’s shaping up to be a summer of upheaval at Stamford Bridge, and it seems there could be a shakeup in Chelsea’s attacking options as well.

Chelsea have opened talks with Juventus over a double swoop for Gonzalo Higuain and Daniele Rugani, according to Sportitalia, via Football Italia. Maurizio Sarri is now officially in the Stamford Bridge hot seat and as such, he’s keen for the club to get active in the transfer market and with so little time between now the start of the season, he is looking to bring in players who he has worked with in the past, who’ll understand his tactics and team set-up. Higuain had the best goalscoring season of his career whilst working Sarri at Napoli in 2015/16, whilst Rugani spent two seasons with the new Chelsea boss when the pair were at Empoli. According to Sportitalia, agent Fali Ramadani, who helped broker the deal to take Sarri to Chelsea, is representing the London club in talks with Juventus. The Serie A champions reportedly value Higuain at €60m and Rugani at €40m, so Chelsea are likely going to need to pay around €100m to sign the duo.
