Hoever has been impressing for Ajax’s academy, attracting interest from Liverpool as they look to bolster their youth ranks. The 16-year-old is a regular international for Holland’s under-16 side, where he has shown his quality at right-back. Liverpool youngster Liam Millar is said to be closing in on a move to League One side Sunderland.

Millar, who was in fine form for the club’s Under-18 and Under-19 sides throughout the course of last season, is claimed by the Northern Echo to be on the verge of arriving at the Stadium of Light.

The Canadian international has often been tipped for big things on Merseyside but it seems in his efforts to accelerate his pursuit of first-team football, he will swap Liverpool for Sunderland.

It’s thought that Millar will initially become a member of the Black Cats’ youth setup, but there are plans in place for him to be integrated into the first-team under Jack Ross if he impresses.

The 18-year-old attacker was in fine form last term and scored a total of 19 goals in all competitions.

His impressive form at youth level with the Reds earned him a shock debut on the international stage with Canada, as he featured in his country’s clash with New Zealand earlier this year.

Celtic are set to land Liverpool starlet Harry Wilson on a season-long loan deal, the Daily Record reports. There is interest from a host of clubs for Wilson, however the youngster looks set to sign a new contract at Anfield before sealing a move to Celtic Park. However, Celtic have a short deadline if they are to get Wilson into the club before their Champions League first-leg tie against Armenian side Alashkert. The first deadline to complete any signings is tomorrow night, while there is also a second deadline on Monday to add a wildcard signing before the game. Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers spoke last night of his transfer targets. “There is a lot of speculation around players, but I’ll only talk when they are signed and done.” “The club are trying to do that.
