Bakary Sako set to leave Crystal Palace this summer

Bakary Sako set to leave Crystal Palace this summer Bakary Sako’s tenure at Crystal Palace appears to be approaching its conclusion, with the winger having turned down the club’s latest contract offer. It’s believed that the Eagles had afforded Sako the chance to stay put at Selhurst Park for the foreseeable future but as confirmed by Palace boss Roy Hodgson to Football London, the attacker will likely move on this summer. “No, he is not signing, he doesn’t want to sign. I guess he will be moving on, I don’t know, the last I heard was that he had turned down the offer of a contract that we had made to him, so that’s the last I have.” Sako has only ever been utilised as a rotational option for Palace since his arrival and it seems he will go in search of regular first-team football elsewhere ahead of next season. The experienced winger, who is also capable of playing in a central role, is out of contract this summer and after turning down Palace’s latest proposal, he will seemingly walk away from South London on a free transfer. Sako, 30, made four Premier League starts last term and came off the bench on 12 occasions, scoring three goals in the process.

Premier League forward unsure on Everton move despite 'firm' interest .
Everton are facing an uphill battle in their attempts to convince Wilfried Zaha to join the club this summer. The Mirror reports that Zaha is one of Marco Silva’s key transfer targets with the club showing ‘firm interest’, but the Ivorian international is not so sure about a return to the North. After impressing at Crystal Palace, Zaha earned a move to Manchester United and his struggles at Old Trafford were well documented. Zaha then returned to Palace, where he has gone onto become a key figure in their squad and his goals helped keep them in the top flight. Palace are doing everything in their power to keep hold of the player who scored nine times in the Premier League last season, with a new bumper contract offer reportedly on the table. The Eagles are offering the player a huge £125,000-a-week deal, despite the fact he only put pen to paper on a new deal just a few months prior.
