Tottenham and Southampton linked with Danny Ings

Tottenham and Southampton linked with Danny Ings According to a report from the Daily Star, Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur have lodged enquiries in recent months to gauge their chances of signing Danny Ings from Liverpool. The Reds forward is set to leave Anfield this summer as he goes in search of first-team football on a regular basis elsewhere. Crystal Palace and former club Burnley have already reportedly expressed an interest in signing Ings this summer, but the Star believe that they will face competition from both Saints and Tottenham Hotspur. Ings has struggled to make an impression on Merseyside since his big move from Burnley. He has endured an injury-plagued tenure with the club and it seems he would like to resurrect his career elsewhere. Jurgen Klopp is set to utilise Roberto Firmino as a striker next season and Divock Origi will reportedly be given the chance to impress in pre-season. This could pave the way for Ings to depart, with first-team football unlikely to be regularly afforded by Klopp.

The 2017–18 season was Burnley 's 136th competitive season, their second consecutive in the Premier League and their 55th in top flight English football. Along with the Premier League, the club also competed in the FA Cup and EFL Cup.

Burnley move on from pursuit of Jay Rodriguez and Craig Dawson after West Brom demand £40m West Brom held firm on valuation and Burnley are willing to spend £30million Sean Dyche has been trying to sign duo and had £25m rejected three weeks ago amount for Jay Rodriguez , although it is thought a deal for the striker could be struck at £ 18 m .

Burnley could spend a club-record sum in their efforts to sign Jay Rodriguez from West Brom this summer, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The Clarets are determined to recruit Rodriguez, with Sean Dyche having identified him as the club’s top target ahead of next season, and they’re apparently willing to spend up to £18 million on signing him.

Rodriguez has only been at West Brom for one season following his £12m move from Southampton last summer but following the club’s relegation to the Championship, it’s believed that he wants an immediate return to top-flight football.

It’s claimed by the Daily Mail that although Rodriguez will not attempt to force an exit from the Hawthorns, he does remain intent on playing Premier League football next term, with Burnley seemingly the likely destination.

Burnley unlikely to re-sign Danny Ings

Burnley unlikely to re-sign Danny Ings Burnley are unlikely to re-sign Danny Ings from Liverpool as Sean Dyche’s main focus is to bring Jay Rodriguez back to Turf Moor, according to the Mirror. Liverpool have reluctantly decided to let Ings leave after he requested a move in order to play regular first-team football. He was linked with a move back to Burnley, the side from whom he joined the Reds three years ago, but the Clarets have decided that West Brom’s Jay Rodriguez is the man they want to bring in. Cryatal Palace are, according to the Mirror, leading the race to sign the 25-year-old, but Liverpool will be hoping for more interest so they can drive up their asking price.
