Hull join race to sign Harry Wilson

Hull join race to sign Harry Wilson Hull City have joined the list of clubs looking to sign Liverpool winger Harry Wilson this summer. According to The Hull Daily Mail, Hull are interested in bringing Wilson back to the club, after his loan spell last season. Wilson spent the second-half of last season on loan to Hull, where he heavily impressed. The report claims that Norwich and Rangers are also keen, whilst Huddersfield and Fulham are looking into permanent deals for the winger. Wilson is set to go on tour with Liverpool’s first-team this summer before making a decision on his future. Jurgen Klopp is eager to see what he can do in pre-season before he sanctions a loan move. The forward is highly thought of at Liverpool and it is unlikely that the club would let him leave on a permanent basis. Liverpool also confirmed on Monday that star forward Mo Salah has signed a new long-term contract with the club after his record-breaking first season.

Celtic are set to land Liverpool starlet Harry Wilson on a season-long loan deal, the Daily Record reports.

There is interest from a host of clubs for Wilson, however the youngster looks set to sign a new contract at Anfield before sealing a move to Celtic Park.

The winger spent last season on loan at Championship side Hull City and Hull had been trying desperately to secure his services for another season.

However, Celtic have a short deadline if they are to get Wilson into the club before their Champions League first-leg tie against Armenian side Alashkert.

The first deadline to complete any signings is tomorrow night, while there is also a second deadline on Monday to add a wildcard signing before the game.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers spoke last night of his transfer targets.

“There is a lot of speculation around players, but I’ll only talk when they are signed and done.”

“The club are trying to do that.”

Harry Wilson signs new Liverpool contract .
Liverpool forward Harry Wilson has signed a second new contract in six months after the Reds decided to give him an improved deal after his impressive performances whilst on loan with Hull City at the end of last season. As reported by the official Liverpool website, Wilson, who only signed a new contract with Liverpool before joining the Tigers on loan, has put pen-to-paper on a long-term deal with improved terms as a reward for his development. The Welshman is keen to impress Jurgen Klopp during pre-season to earn himself a place in the Liverpool squad for the upcoming campaign and with some of the Reds established stars still away due to their World Cup exploits, Wilson has every chance to catch the manager’s eye. Earlier this week, Liverpool rejected another loan approach from Celtic at the weekend as they have concerns about sending him to the Scottish champions after seeing Chelsea’s Charly Musonda get very little game time whilst on loan at Celtic Park last season. Wilson is still likely to go out on loan but he told that he wants to impress Klopp and stay in his plans. “I think my short-term focus is to keep trying to impress the manager day in, day out in training and, the minutes I get in pre-season, try and impress. [I want to] keep trying to score goals, [get] assists, help the team out and then I’m not looking too far beyond that. I feel if I do well enough here, everything else will take care of itself.
