Sarri eyes Alisson as dream signing

Sarri eyes Alisson as dream signing Maurizio Sarri is eyeing Roma goalkeeper Alisson as his dream signing, according to the Daily Star. The report claims that Sarri’s ideal replacement for Thibaut Courtois would be Brazil’s number one. Alisson is currently playing in the World Cup this summer in Russia for Brazil, where he has started their opening two games of the competition. The shot-stopper has been heavily-linked with Liverpool and Real Madrid over the past few months. Real Madrid are thought to be the front-runners at this moment in time, but Chelsea could swoop in to agree a deal. Courtois’ future at Chelsea remains uncertain, with one year left on his current contract with the club. The Belgian, like Alisson, has been touted with a switch to Real Madrid to move closer to his family in Spain. Sarri is expected to be unveiled as Chelsea’s new manager next week, with Antonio Conte set to leave the club.

Real Madrid have been forced to issue a statement insisting they have "not made any kind of offer" for Paris St-Germain forward Neymar after reports emerged linking the Brazilian with a £274.43 million move to the Spanish capital.

Brazil Match Preview: Mexico

Brazil Match Preview: Mexico After a massively invigorating group stages, the business side of the World Cup is upon us with Brazil meeting Mexico in what will be an extraordinary contest. Brazil’s manager, Tite, will be fairly content with his side’s performances up to this point as they topped a relatively tricky group. Something that not just Tite, but most other managers of the ‘best nations’ will be concerned about, is the fact they are yet to play top opposition so might not be as prepared for the knockout stages as they could be. Serbia and Switzerland posed minimal threats but they don’t have the tactical and personnel quality that teams like Spain, France and Belgium pose. So, does Tite trust his squad’s progress in the tournament so far or does he need to change anything based on the opposition themselves? For example, Mexico love to play counter attacking, free-flowing football with wingers that hog the touchline. From defensive corners, they leave three players on the halfway line to exploit the remaining defenders in a 3-on-2 counter attack situation. Mexico’s style of play will always stay the same no matter what the opposition is. But, does Tite make any changes to deal with this counter attacking threat? Marcelo is an injury doubt but it could be a blessing in disguise with Filipe Luis more equipped defensively to deal with the pace of the Mexican team and is also less adventurous going forward.

Real Madrid reportedly table record breaking bid for Neymar

Real Madrid reportedly table record breaking bid for Neymar Real Madrid have reportedly tabled a huge €310 million bid for Neymar according to sources in Spain. AS report that according to a report on Televisión Española (TVE), the Spanish giants have made a world record bid for the Brazilian star, only a year after PSG signed the winger from Barcelona for €220 million. The report also adds that Real Madrid are reportedly ready to hand Neymar a seven-year contract worth 45 million euros a season, surpassing the money the Brazilian is on at Paris St Germain. The 26 year old is currently on international duty with Brazil in Russia at the 2018 World Cup. The Paris St Germain winger scored and assisted in Brazil’s 2-0 win over Mexico, setting up a Quarter Final clash with Belgium. Neymar only moved to Paris last Summer, but reportedly already wants out. A move back to Spain is potentially on the cards, but with Real Madrid rather than his former side Barcelona.

Real Madrid to reignite interest in Chelsea 'keeper Courtois .
Real Madrid are still interested in signing Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois according to reports, with the Blues valuing their player at €50million (£44.1million). That is according to El Confidencial, as cited by Calciomercato, who claim that it will not be as difficult a financial situation for the clubs to overcome as previously reported. This seems extremely unlikely, with Courtois one of the brightest stars at the Blues’ disposal. At just 26-years old, Courtois has his best years ahead of him, and Chelsea are unlikely to sell for a price so low that they couldn’t appropriately replace the Belgian with. Reports have suggested Chelsea consider Roma goalkeeper Alisson their ideal replacement for the Belgium international goalkeeper, and with Liverpool having backed out of the race, they sit in prime position. If they were to sell Courtois for the reported fee, they would nee to reinvest that money and then some to land the Brazilian, with the Selecao man valued at around £70million.
