Lazio name their price for Liverpool target Strakosha

Lazio name their price for Liverpool target Strakosha Liverpool will reportedly need to spend a fee in the region of €40 million if they want to land Thomas Strakosha from Lazio this summer. The Reds are keen to recruit a new first-choice goalkeeper following the calamitous performance of Loris Karius in the Champions League final last month, with Strakosha the latest name to be linked with a switch to Anfield. Liverpool had originally identified Roma goalkeeper Alisson and Atletico Madrid star Jan Oblak as their two top targets for the problem position, but it seems they have been priced out of respective deals for the pair. This has led Liverpool to turn their attention towards Strakosha who, as per a report from Alfredo Pedulla, will cost €40 million to acquire this summer. Strakosha, who is often labelled as unorthodox in his style of goalkeeping, enjoyed a good season with Lazio and has evidently caught the eye of clubs across Europe. The Albanian international would likely come in as the Reds’ new number one goalkeeper, but it seems they will need to fork out a considerable sum if they are to convince Lazio to sell their key man.

An emotional Stefan Kiessling strongly hinted he was on his way out of Bayer Leverkusen – after helping them to their biggest win of the season on Saturday. The German forward, who has been linked in the German press to Liverpool following Jurgen Klopp’s appointment as manager

The Italian side a reportedly close to signing Olympiakos’ veteran goalkeeper Silvio Proto, with the Belgian joining Lazio on a permanent deal according to Calcio Mercato. Gianluigi Donnarumma also has about the same asking price, putting Liverpool out of the race to sign the Italian. Therefore, a deal from Strakosha would be beneficial for the reds, meaning they can finally get a new keeper in and not have to break the back to sign him. Arsenal receive huge boost in bid to sign goalkeeping target .
Arsenal’s chances of signing Bernd Leno this summer have seemingly been boosted, with Bayer Leverkusen prepared to sell their goalkeeper. The Gunners have been heavily linked with a swoop for the German international, who has been an impressive player for Leverkusen over recent years. However, a whole host of clubs have been linked with moves for the player, as speculation surrounding his future in the Bundesliga continues. This talk has only been fuelled by Bayer Leverkusen’s sporting director, Rudi Voller, in recent times too. As quoted by the Mirror, the German club’s chief delivered a huge update on the future of Leno. “Leno can leave but only on our terms. We are still in constant and open exchange with Bernd and his manager. Leno already had a concrete offer from Napoli in 2017, but we didn’t have an equivalent backup at the time.” “He had to stay and he did really well last season, but we thought Bernd’s desire to leave would resurface so and so with the arrival of Lukas Hradecky we have a high-quality successor.” Voller admitted that Leverkusen would be willing to sanction the sale of their number one goalkeeper, but only if a deal is agreed solely on their terms. Petr Cech has been given the number one shirt at Arsenal ahead of next season but it seems the club are on the hunt to land a new goalkeeper regardless of this, with a number of high-profile errors having been committed between the sticks last term.
