West Ham considering swoop for Sam Johnstone

West Ham considering swoop for Sam Johnstone West Ham are reportedly considering a swoop for Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone. According to claims from the Guardian, the Hammers’ plans ahead of next season are well underway and with the club keen to land a new goalkeeper, Johnstone is under consideration. The shot-stopper spent the duration of last season on loan at Aston Villa as he helped them to a play-off final. Steve Bruce’s men were defeated in the final by Fulham, however, and it is now unlikely that Johnstone will make his stay permanent. West Ham are now apparently contemplating a move for the goalkeeper, who remains on the books at Old Trafford. The Hammers are unlikely to pursue a permanent deal for Joe Hart following his unsuccessful loan spell at the club. Meanwhile, Adrian has been linked with a move back to Spain this summer. Therefore, it comes as no surprise to see Manuel Pellegrini actively searching for a new goalkeeper, with Johnstone the latest name to be linked.

It is speculated that De Souza would cost around £10m. On Sunday, West Brom boss Tony Pulis said he was looking to add another 4 players to his squad, and speculation continues over the future of centre-back Jonny Evans.

West Brom bid £10.6million for Josef de Souza in the summer but deal stalled. The Baggies moved for PSG midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak on loan instead. Tony Pulis is under pressure after West Brom 's disappointing start to the season.

West Brom are reportedly contemplating a fresh summer swoop to sign Fenerbahce midfielder Josef de Souza.

The Brazilian was a top target for West Brom throughout the course of last season and according to reports, the Baggies had a bid turned down by Fenerbahce last August.

Despite West Brom’s relegation since their last offer, it seems that their interest in recruiting De Souza has not yet deteriorated, with Turkish news outlet A Spor claiming that Darren Moore’s side are considering a new pursuit of the player.

West Brom could be set to lose Kieran Gibbs

West Brom could be set to lose Kieran Gibbs West Brom could be set to lose Kieran Gibbs this summer, according to a report from the Mirror. The left-back has only been at the Hawthorns for one season but it seems he could be set to seek pastures new, with the Baggies having been consigned to relegation last season. Gibbs was recruited from Arsenal and was one of West Brom’s better performers in what was a catastrophic season as the club succumbed to the drop. However, it seems his form hasn’t gone unnoticed, with the Mirror claiming that a host of Premier League clubs are contemplating a swoop for the England international. The Baggies are likely to lose several first-team players this summer with the likes of Salomon Rondon, James McClean and Jake Livermore having already been linked with exits. Gibbs’ Premier League experience is sure to be an attractive quality to potential suitors and it seems West Brom will struggle to retain the left-back’s services beyond this summer.

West Brom failed with an approach to sign Brazilian in the summer. West Bromwich Albion are set to make a fresh approach for Fenerbahce midfielder Josef De Souza in the January transfer window.

West Brom failed in their pursuit to sign Josef de Souza from Fenerbahce last summer, but have reportedly revived their interest in the Brazilian. According to the Daily Mail, the Baggies remain admirers of the powerful midfielder

It seems as though the Baggies are out to add to their already strong pool of midfield options this summer, with reports today claiming that they are keen to recruit Ryan Woods from Brentford.

De Souza appears to be a genuine target, though, and it seems that the club are giving some serious thought to another offer for the player.

Damien Comolli, who was recently appointed as Fenerbahce’s new sporting director, is stated by A Sport to be willing to listen to offers for De Souza, with the player’s future in Turkey currently uncertain.

West Brom keen on swoop for Wilmar Barrios .
West Brom will reportedly rival Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Boca Juniors star Wilmar Barrios this summer. Barrios is currently out in Russia on international duty with the Colombian national team at the World Cup, but speculation is mounting regarding the possibility of a summer transfer. The 24-year-old, who is utilised primarily as a holding midfielder, has been attracting interest from all across Europe, with Argentine news outlet El Dia stating that Ajax and West Brom are in the race for the player. Interest from Tottenham Hotspur was reported earlier on in the month but it seems West Brom are also plotting an audacious swoop for the player. It’s believed by El Dia that the Baggies are sizing up a bid for Barrios, with the Championship club prepared to part with £14.5 million in their efforts to recruit the player. Boca Juniors will, however, be desperate to retain Barrios’ services this summer, and prising him away from the club could prove to be a difficult task.
