  Arsenal sign PSG youngster Arsenal have signed 17-year-old midfielder Yacine Adli from Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, according to Get French Football. Adli has reportedly signed a three-year-deal with an option to extend for a further two years. Adli has only made one first team appearance for Paris Saint-Germain, coming on as a substitute during the last game of the season in a 0-0 draw away at Caen. The youngster recently represented France U17 in the 2017 UEFA European U17 Championships, which saw France knocked out at the quarter-final stage. Adli has since been featuring for the French U18 team where he has scored three goals in seven appearances from midfield. He has now made the first move of his career, following new Arsenal boss Unai Emery in swapping the capital of his native France for the English capital. Adli will join up with the Arsenal academy.

Yacine Adli will turn down a move to Arsenal and sign a three-year professional deal with Paris Saint-Germain, according to Paris United, as cited by Get French Football News.

The report from France claims that sporting director Antero Henrique convinced the player to stay in Paris, despite previous claims suggesting that a move to Arsenal was all-but complete.

Reports have suggested that Unai Emery was going to make the player one of his first signings at the club by swooping in with a professional contract offer, however, that no longer appears to be the case.

The player was expected to sign a three-year contract at the Emirates, which would include the option for another year.

The news will come as a blow to Arsenal, with Adli one of the highest rated young players coming through at Paris Saint-Germain.

While Adli was not expected to feature extensively in the first-team picture during the new season, the Gunners have missed out on a bright prospect for the future.

Rhian Brewster is set to reject a move away from Liverpool by signing a new contract at Anfield, according to the Times. Brewster is set to sign a new five-year contract with the Reds, with Jurgen Klopp convincing the striker to stay with Liverpool amid interest from Germany for the English youngster. Brewster had been in talks with Borussia Monchengladbach. However, no move came about and Liverpool cancelled a friendly with the German side as a result. The Youngster won the golden boot with England U17s at the U17 World Cup in India, where a young England side took home the cup after a sensational Summer for England’s youth sides. Brewster had remained on a scholarship deal after his good Summer, and Liverpool feared he could make the move to Germany like so many young British talents have done. However, Brewster is set to remain at Liverpool for the foreseeable future with his new five-year deal.
