Inter to rival Arsenal for Dennis Praet

Inter to rival Arsenal for Dennis Praet Arsenal will face competition from Inter for the signature of Sampdoria’s Dennis Praet this summer. Reports in Italy from Corriere dello Sport, as cited on Calcio Mercato, claim that Luciano Spalletti wants to bolster his midfield during the summer transfer window. Praet is one of the many names to be linked with a move to the San Siro following Inter’s return to the Champions League. Arsenal themselves have been linked with a move for the Belgian international in recent days. Talks between the Gunners and the player’s agent are said to have taken place, but it is unclear if a deal is close. Inter have the lure of Champions League football, something that Arsenal would be unable to offer. Praet has long been linked with moves away from Sampdoria and with a £22 million release clause in his current deal, he is likely to attract interest once again this summer.

ARSENE WENGER is still considering whether to pay Jackson Martinez's £35m release clause to trump Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham and bring the Colombian striker to Arsenal .

Benfica have slapped a £40million release - clause on Arsenal target Goncalo Guedes. The Portugal Under-19 international is still waiting to make his league debut for Benfica, but he has been used in the cup competitions and has also scored seven goals for the club's B Team.

Arsenal have been told that they must meet Steven N’Zonzi’s release clause if they want to sign him this summer.

According to The Independent, Arsenal will have to pay N’Zonzi’s £35m release clause in order to bring him back to England over the next few months.

The report claims that Sevilla are unwilling to sell N’Zonzi, meaning Arsenal have no option but to take the matter out of Sevilla’s hand and match the clause.

The new Arsenal boss has already signed Stephan Lichtsteiner from Juventus on a free transfer, and looks set to add Sokratis from Borussia Dortmund in the coming days.

N’Zonzi signed a contract with Sevilla in 2017, with his deal expiring in 2020.

Arsenal agree €30m deal to sign Serie A star .
Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria, according to Sport Mediaset. The Gunners have reportedly agreed to pay €30m for the Uruguayan, which is €5m more than his release clause. However, the clause could only be triggered if a club agreed to pay the €25m in full, so it appears that Arsenal have paid an excess, which will allow them to pay the fee in instalments. SM report that although a deal has been struck between the two sides, personal terms are yet to be agreed. Uruguay’s first game of the World Cup is on Friday so if terms can’t be agreed by then, it’s likely that Arsenal might need to wait for the South American side to be eliminated before they can continue discussions. Torreira has been linked with moves to Napoli and Liverpool, but it appears that Arsenal are closing on a deal to take him to the Emirates.
