West Ham join race to sign Rui Patricio

West Ham join race to sign Rui Patricio West Ham have reportedly joined the race to sign a Rui Patricio when the transfer window opens. According to A Bola, as translated by Sport Witness, Sporting Lisbon and Portugal number one Patricio is on the radar of several clubs and West Ham are keen to bring the Euro 2016 winner to the Olympic Stadium. A Bola report that Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Newcastle are also looking at Patricio. Patricio’s current contract at Lisbon has a €45 million release clause and bids for him are believed to start at €30 million. A West Ham move for Patricio would make more sense with Joe Hart’s loan deal expiring at the end of the season and with the Hammers not renewing his deal. There have also been reports from Italy linking Patricio to Napoli and there are claims that negotiations are going strong. However, Premier League clubs are rumoured to be in the favoured position with Napoli not willing to spend any more than €20 million.

United reportedly in talks with Fabinho's representatives .
Manchester United are in talks with Monaco star Fabinho’s representatives, according to French journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi. Twitter: Manchester United est toujours dans le dossier Fabinho. Discussions avec l’entourage mais toujours pas d’offre conc… (@mohamedbouhafsi) The Brazilian is another player who has attracted plenty of interest in the past from Europe’s elite and has flourished during his time in Ligue 1. The 24-year-old began his career at Fluminense in his homeland but failed to make an appearance in the first team. He then joined Rio Ave, in the Primeira Liga, but after a month went on loan to Real Madrid Castilla, where he made 30 appearances. His impressive spell at Castilla saw him earn a loan move back to Madrid, but this time for Real Madrid’s first team, rather than their second. However, Fabinho only made one appearance, a 14-minute cameo against Malaga. The season after, he joined Monaco on loan, and this is where he has seen his career take off. After a two-year loan spell at Stade Louis II, he made the move permanent and has made over 100 appearances for the French giants. The defensive midfielder has been a huge part of Monaco’s triumphs recently, including playing a key role in knocking Manchester City out of the 2016/17 Champions League. A move for Fabinho could see United try to sign two Brazilian midfielders this summer, with earlier reports suggesting the Red Devils were in advanced talks to sign Fred, from Shakhtar Donetsk.
