Morata is reported to be a top target for former club Juventus this summer but if these emerging claims are to be believed, they may face competition to land the forward. Chelsea landed Morata for a sum in the region of £60 million from Real Madrid in the summer but he has failed to convince after a good start to life in English football. Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata is wanted by Juventus this summer but according to fresh reports, Borussia Dortmund have also joined the race for his signature.

Morata endured a difficult first season in English football despite getting off to an impressive start. He was rotated with Olivier Giroud in the second-half of the season and struggled to cope with the intensity of the Premier League.

The Spanish forward is understood to be a priority target for Juventus, with claims having been made that he’d be keen on a return to Turin.

However, according to a report from German news outlet Bild, as cited by talkSPORT, Dortmund are also keen to make a surprise swoop for the striker this summer.

Michy Batshuayi is refusing to decide his future until after the World Cup in Russia this summer. According to the Mirror, the striker is not thinking about his future, amid reports Borussia Dortmund want to sign him permanently. “I don’t have a preference; they’re two beautiful clubs. My focus is on the World Cup right now and I don’t want to think about what happens afterwards.” Batshuayi impressed during his brief spell in the Bundesliga, scoring seven goals in nine starts for the club. Injury cut his time in Germany short, but he is expected to be fit for this summer’s tournament. The striker had fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge under Antonio Conte, who failed to trust the striker on a regular basis. Conte’s imminent departure could be the catalyst for the striker to return to Chelsea and make an impact in the first-team squad. Alvaro Morata continues to be linked with moves away from the club after struggling for consistency in his first season. Inter, Juventus and Milan have all been linked with the player.
