Charlie Musonda's loan at Celtic set to be cut short .
Charlie Musonda looks set to return to Stamford Bridge after a less than desirable loan run with Celtic. The 21 year old has only managed just three starts this season, making only eight apperances in total, for the Scottish champions. As reported by Goal, Musonda will be recalled by Chelsea at the end of the season, cutting short an 18-month loan deal which, was only agreed last January. Musonda is currently in London with Chelsea’s medical team, receiving treatment for a shoulder problem. Celtic were able to obtain Musonda’s signature despite a hotly contested race for the 21 year old, with no shortage of interest from around Europe’s top leagues. Celtic manager Brendan Rogers recently confirmed that Musonda had gone back to Chelsea for treatment on a shoulder issue, but it appears that he could end up staying with his parent club. “Charly hurt his shoulder in the week when he was away. He has gone back to Chelsea to get treatment on that. So like I say, he may or may not feature between now and the end of the season. But he is obviously a Chelsea player so they want to look at him to make sure he is okay.” However, Musonda’s mother took to social media to claim that her son was ‘back for good’ in London and it looks like a matter of time before the news of the loan being cancelled is made official.
