Barcelona rule out a Liverpool move for Ousmane Dembele

Barcelona rule out a Liverpool move for Ousmane Dembele Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde says Ousmane Dembele will not be moving to Anfield this summer, according to the Liverpool Echo. Liverpool have been heavily linked with the Frenchman in recent days, however, Jurgen Klopp laughed off rumours about Dembele after the Chelsea defeat at the weekend. Klopp said: “Who was the second name? Dembele? Oooh, is he on the market? Now I am interested! I never comment on transfer rumours.” The 20-year-old has had an indifferent first season at the La Liga champions after signing for a hefty €105 million last summer, making 20 appearances and scoring just three goals. After being blighted by injury in his first campaign, Valverde is backing the young winger to become a success in time. “We have to realise he just got here. He’s had some injuries and getting playing time in our team is not easy but we know he’s young, he’s had a tough season and we hope he will continue to develop next year.” The Reds will have to look elsewhere for attacking additions, with Nabil Fekir seeming most likely to come in as things stand.

Barcelona are willing to let Ousmane Dembele join Liverpool this summer, reports in Spain have claimed. Barcelona forward Dembele has emerged as a Liverpool transfer target in recent weeks.

Coutinho wants to leave Liverpool and join Barcelona . Brazil’s team doctor has said the player is suffering from stress over the incident. Coutinho remains Barcelona ’s top target as they also close in on Ousmane Dembele . Liverpool won’t let the Brazilian go until they have a replacement lined up.

Barcelona are open to the possibility of selling forward Ousmane Dembele this summer, less than a year after first signing him, according to reports.

A number of clubs, including Liverpool, are interested in the player and the Reds have apparently let Barcelona know that they’re willing to do a deal.

Dembele joined Barcelona for a fee of  £135 million but has found it tough to make much of an impact spending much of his first season on the treatment table.

Even when he has been available, January signing Philippe Coutinho has been selected ahead of him which has cast doubt over his future.

Luis Suarez linked with move back to Liverpool

Luis Suarez linked with move back to Liverpool Barcelona are reportedly set to sell Luis Suarez in the upcoming transfer window, and Liverpool are reportedly interested in bringing him back to Anfield, according to reports. Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has been creating his own squad since he arrived at the Nou Camp last summer, bringing in signings such as Ousmane Dembele, Yerry Mina and former Liverpool star Philipe Coutinho. It is believed that numerous incomings and outgoings will happen yet again in Catalonia, with Antoine Griezmann being strongly linked with a move to Barcelona, for an estimated £100m. This means that Suarez could be heading away from the La Liga champions, and he could be heading back to Anfield . If he was to make a reunion with the Reds, he would be competing with Roberto Firmino for the number nine spot in Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI. Suarez is 31 now, and is still scoring goals for fun, as he did in his final year in England, and if he were to return to Liverpool, he would be welcomed with open arms by the Anfield faithful.

Liverpool reportedly want Barcelona forward Dembele , who has toiled ever since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund last summer. The France international could leave the club having failed to gel with the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho.

Dembele scored just three times in La Liga this season and is keen for a fresh start which he would be afforded under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, and there is talk that Barcelona would be willing to let him leave on loan for a season.

Liverpool would prefer a transfer but the option of taking such a special player for a season might be tempting for Klopp.

Champions League winner tells Klopp to deal with the pressure .
Former Liverpool assistant manager Pako Ayestaran has told Jurgen Klopp to make the players believe on Saturday, reports Sky Sports. Ayesteran was assistant at Liverpool from 2004 until 2007 when Rafa Benitez was in charge and he was part of the side that made the famous comeback against AC Milan in Istanbul. Liverpool go into the game as big underdogs, with Real Madrid going for their third consecutive title in the competition. Madrid also have plenty more experience with nearly all the squad having been together throughout that period. Ayesteran thinks there will be massive nerves for Liverpool ahead of the game because just like the 2005 side, this is new to basically all the players. However, he says the manager needs to help them get over their fears: “Jurgen Klopp has to try to convince them it’s just a game, and they have to just concentrate on football matters.
