He has helped City win three Premier League titles, three League Cups and a Community Shield. Despite earning a place in the Team of the Year and scoring 21 league goals this season, Aguero’s future in Manchester has been in doubt for a while. Atletico superstar Antoine Griezmann is likely to leave this summer and Atleti are eyeing a move for Aguero to replace him as their main striker, but MARCA understands the deal could still go ahead even if Griezmann doesn’t leave the club. Both Atletico and Aguero’s representatives have decided to leave the negotiations until after the World Cup in Russia so the striker can focus on guiding Argentina to World Cup glory.
