  John Williams and Martin Goodman sacked by West Brom With the club sat bottom of the Premier League table, West Brom have made two big changes to the club hierarchy. Chairman John Williams and Chief Executive Martin Goodman have both had their contracts with West Brom terminated and have been placed on garden leave with immediate effect, the club has announced. Mark Jenkins has returned to the club to replace Goodman as CEO after being named a director of the club’s controlling company, WBA Holdings. A Club spokesman said: “We would like to thank John and Martin for all their efforts since their appointments and wish them well for the future.” Jenkins, returning to the club as CEO after a previous 14-year stint in the same role, said: “There is much to do but for now the focus must solely be on the remaining games of this season.

WEST BROM have sacked chairman John Williams due to the club’s “poor results” this season. Chief executive Martin Goodman has also joined Williams in being placed on immediate gardening leave.

West Brom have sacked chairman John Williams and chief executive Martin Goodman.

The pair have been given notice of termination of their contracts and been placed on garden leave with immediate effect, the club announced on Tuesday.

Following his recent appointment as a director of WBA Holdings, the club’s controlling company, Mark Jenkins will return as chief executive.

A club spokesman said: “We would like to thank John and Martin for all their efforts since their appointments and wish them well for the future.”

The sackings come with Albion bottom of the Premier League and seven points from the safety line following Monday’s 3-0 defeat at Chelsea, with the club citing poor results as a catalyst for change.

Press Association Sport understands the club have no plans to appoint a replacement chairman this season.
