United target Sergi Roberto wants to finish career at Barca

United target Sergi Roberto wants to finish career at Barca After Barcelona star Sergi Roberto was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer, it is now being reported that he wants to finish his playing career at the Catalan giants and has no intention to move elsewhere. https://twitter.com/SportsPeteO/status/933636329262538752 Journalist Pete O’Rourke has broke the news that Roberto has told Spanish press that “he wants to stay with the club for the rest of his career” ending all hopes of United signing the Spanish full-back. After United were strongly linked with Roberto in the summer, he claimed then he was looking for regular first team football, something Barcelona cannot offer with the vast amount of competition at the club. But having been at the Barcelona academy ‘la masia’ since he was just 6 years old and the way he has progressed through the ranks all the way up to the first team, it would seem that he is willing to stay and fight for his place after the journey he has been on to get to where he is today.

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw fears his time at Old Trafford is all but over due to his on-going feud with Jose Mourinho. Mourinho has favoured Daley Blind , Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian at left-back this term and Shaw is yet to appear in the Premier League.

Manchester United utility man Daley Blind believes the club could be planning to sell him next summer, according to The Times. The Netherlands international, aged 27, is out of contract at the end of the season.

Manchester United utility player Daley Blind ‘fears’ that his United career is over, according to The Times.

The 27-year old is out of contract at the end of the season, and although United are reportedly keen to trigger a one-year extension in Blind’s contract, the move is believed to be aimed at protecting Blind’s transfer value, rather than prolonging his playing career with the club.

The Netherlands’ international is said to be frustrated with a lack of playing time this season, and is rumoured to be open to a move.

Inter Milan have previously been linked with a move for the Dutchman and could be prepared to make another move for him in the summer.

United signed Blind, son of Danny Blind who was sacked as Netherlands head coach earlier this year, from Ajax in 2014 for a fee of £13.8million.

Blind has played 135 times for United across all competitions, scoring six goals.

David de Gea explains he is nothing like Peter Schmeichel .
David De Gea has been sensational for Manchester United this season and played a key role in their victory over Arsenal last weekend, but says that he is nothing like Peter Schmeichel. Schmeichel was a Manchester United legend as he won five league titles in just eight seasons whilst also closing his career in winning the Champions League in 1999. The Dane was always wanting to bellow at his defenders if they made a mistake as he wanted everything to be perfect. The former United man as he explained to Sky Sports’ Thierry Henry before the Manchester derby. “I used to argue with my goalkeeper all the time,” said Henry, who was in conversation with De Gea for Sky’s Nissan Match Zone ahead of the game. De Gea prefers to remain composed on the pitch as he explained. “After a great save or a mistake by a defender I prefer not to shout on him, I prefer to wait and say it inside of the dressing room.” “I was always like that. I am relaxed, I try to be normal after a mistake, and when I make a mistake I don’t want people coming to me on the pitch shouting at me.” “So I try to do the same with my players, to give confidence to them. That’s it, it’s football, you have to make mistakes, it’s normal!” The two have very different ways of doing things but both have been great players for the club throughout different generations.
