Mourinho wants Ozil as his no.10 next season .
Jose Mourinho is keen to sign Mesut Ozil this summer to fill the gap left in the Manchester United side. The Telegraph reports that Mourinho has pinpointed the German has a summer transfer target, as his contract runs down at Arsenal. Mourinho is looking for a fresh face to come into the United side and be the key playmaker. The former Chelsea boss has been critical of Henrikh Mkhitaryan in recent weeks, putting his long-term future at Old Trafford in doubt. Mourinho and Ozil worked together at Real Madrid and the Portuguese boss has been very complimentary about the German in the past, hailing him as ‘the best number 10 in the world’. The player could be on the move in January if Arsenal do decide to cash in on him, rather than lose him for nothing in the summer, but the report suggests Mourinho wants to sign him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
