Griffiths will hope to add to his European goal tally after scoring against Anderlecht in Brussels in a previous group stage fixture. The trip to France will be followed by another chance of silverware under Brendan Rodgers, with a clash against Motherwell in the League Cup final at Hampden on Sunday. Motherwell will also travel to Glasgow on Saturday to face the top of the table side, in an unprecedented triple-header in just six days.

They currently sit fifth in the league table, and will be looking to bounce back from the disappointment at the weekend with a strong performance at home.

Moussa Dembele will miss the game through injury, and could miss next week’s crucial Champions League clash with Anderlecht.

Nir Bitton will also miss Wednesday’s trip after picking up a knock in last week’s loss to PSG having also missed the win on Sunday.

The Steelmen have no fresh injuries going into the game.

Celtic Patrick Roberts will be out until 2018 with a hamstring that has plagued him since his return to Glasgow at the end of August. Moussa Dembele and Nir Bitton have both returned to the squad and are in contention for a place in the team after returning from their respective injuries. Anthony Ralston is training again may not require surgery on a meniscus problem that has kept him out of action since September.
