Fleetwood wins Race to Dubai after Rose wilts, Rahm claims tournament win

Fleetwood wins Race to Dubai after Rose wilts, Rahm claims tournament win Jon Rahm won the DP World Tour Championship but there was a bigger prize for Tommy Fleetwood, who pipped Justin Rose to Race to Dubai glory.Tommy Fleetwood claimed Race to Dubai glory in dramatic fashion as Justin Rose unexpectedly fell away in the final round of the DP World Tour Championship, which was won by Jon Rahm.

Facially, Rahm (pronounced Rom) evokes a young Stallone, the strong bone structure softened by droopy lower eyelids, more reason the nickname Rahmbo will stick. "I never had to drop my pants, but I came close," Rahm says.

Rahm 's upbringing was rich with love and support, but otherwise he comes from humble origins. (Mickelson is joking. We think.) Rahm says his new diet has given him more energy, mentally and physically, and he's not exactly going hungry.

Jon Rahm believes he still hasn’t found the “magic formula” in his game after collecting the European Tour’s Rookie of the Year award.

The Spaniard was presented with the trophy by European Tour chief executive Keith Pelley ahead of the DP World Tour Championship, where Rahm will be chasing a third worldwide win of 2017.

Rahm only turned professional in June 2016 and joined the European Tour ahead of the WGC-Mexico Championship in March, but has risen to world No 5 after a breakthrough year.

Race to Dubai winner Fleetwood hails 'biggest day of my career'

Race to Dubai winner Fleetwood hails 'biggest day of my career' After winning the Race to Dubai by a slender margin, Tommy Fleetwood said: "It's the biggest day of my career for sure."Tommy Fleetwood hailed his Race to Dubai triumph as the greatest achievement of his career to date, before setting his sights on even bigger prizes.

The status quo doesn’t work—at least, it doesn’t work for too many people. People often ask Amara Enyia whether she fears Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. My dad always said revolutions never come from people in the status quo; they come from those on the outside.

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who's been charting his progress. While at Arizona State, Rahm was the world's No. 1-ranked amateur. He has always had the game, but much of Rahm 's evolution has occurred since breaking some barriers off the course.

The 23-year-old posted two top-five finishes in World Golf Championship events as well as claiming a six-shot victory at the Irish Open, with Rahm impressed with his maiden European Tour campaign.

"It's just a huge honour to be sitting here in this position at this time of the year," Rahm said. "I'm really happy and I'm really blessed that I have this opportunity and that I'm able to accomplish this award.

"It's something I'm really proud of. Never in a million years would I have expected what I've done this year.

"Top five in the world, fifth in the FedEx Cup, fourth in the Race to Dubai, playing the way I've played, I would have never foreseen this at all."

Rahm posted top-10 finishes in more than half of his 25 worldwide starts during a busy 2017 schedule but failed to contend in the majors, with a tie-for-27th at the Masters his best return.

Fleetwood, Rahm in Hero Challenge

It could have purchased those police vehicles Rahm says he’s so concerned about or put more cops on the street. But the worst is yet to come . A secret bill, SB 31, known as “The Trust Act,” has quietly passed the Illinois legislature.

Rahm Emanuel’s office, which is no more than a three-second walk from the Oval Office, is as neat as a Marine barracks. Emanuel had just come from a budget meeting in the Roosevelt Room with the President’s senior staff.

"I think it's important to learn what the magic formula is for you," Rahm added. "You have players like Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus who never played the week before a major.

"They practised and they rested. You have players like Phil (Mickelson) who plays every week before the major because he thinks it's going to help him play better.

"After one year I still don't know what my formula is. I haven't played my best golf in the majors and hopefully what I'm doing next year, which is resting the week before in most of them, helps out."
