Klopp not planning to rush Nathaniel Clyne back

Klopp not planning to rush Nathaniel Clyne back Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists he is in no rush to hurry Nathaniel Clyne back into his side due to the form of the club’s youngsters. As per the Liverpool Echo, Klopp is said to be delighted with the form of both Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who have both stepped in for the England international. “Joe and Trent have done really well. They have improved a lot, both of them in different games. That’s why we don’t have to put pressure on (Clyne) in this situation.” Clyne is getting closer to a return to fitness after a back injury has kept him out of the opening stages of the season, but is still believed to be some way off a first-team return. The defender, who was ever-present for Liverpool in the Premier League last season is yet to feature for the Reds so far in this campaign. Alexander-Arnold has made the headlines on several occasions this season after some exceptional performances, while Gomez, who was linked with several loan moves away from the club, has also impressed when given the chance.

Tom Curran added to England Ashes squad to replace Finn .
England have confirmed that they have drafted in Surrey fast bowler Tom Curran into the Ashes squad after Steven Finn suffered a knee injury. Finn has been ruled out of the Ashes series this Winter after tearing cartilage in his left knee during a routine nets session in Perth, dealing another blow to England’s bowling attack. Already without Ben Stokes, at least for now, following his involvement in a late-night brawl outside a Bristol night club during the summer series with the Windies, England have been forced to bring the uncapped Curran into the fold. The exciting 22-year-old bowler broke into the one-day side in the summer, featuring in the short format of the game against both South Africa and the Windies but this will be his first experience of test cricket. Tom Helm and Liam Plunkett were also considered as replacements for Finn, as was Mark Wood who is not considered to be fully fit by the time the series starts, but the selectors opted for Curran. Finn joins an ever-growing list of England bowlers to have suffered injuries in recent months. Toby Roland-Jones was ruled out of the Ashes with a stress fracture in his back, while Moeen Ali is also struggling for fitness. Jake Ball and Craig Overton are the front-runners to be selected as Eng;and’s fourth seamer for the first Ashes test.
