Burnley eye move for James McArthur

Burnley eye move for James McArthur Burnley are interested in signing Crystal Palace midfielder James McArthur, according to a report from the Daily Mail . The 29-year-old signed for Palace in 2014 and has gone on to play 95 games in all competitions, scoring nine goals in the process. According to the report in the Mail, Sean Dyche is keen to bolster his midfield options after losing Joey Barton to a ban after he was found guilty of breaking the FA’s rules on gambling. There is also some talk suggesting that Steven Defour is unsettled in England and that he could push for a move away. With Frank De Boer taking charge at Selhurst Park, there is a lot of uncertainty around the club in terms of who he’ll want to keep and who he’ll be willing to let go and it appears that McArthur could be one of the players deemed surplus to requirements and if that proves to be the case, Burnley would be happy to take him.

Norwich have teken an interested in Nuremberg midfielder Hanno Behrens, reports German paper Bild .

Behrens could be the next in a long line of players from the German league to join Norwich, with Daniel Farke recruiting a number of players from his homeland this summer.

Behrens plays in defensive midfield and was described as a ‘midfield motor’ by this report. He has made 71 appearances for Nuremberg, scoring eight goals. Behrens’ experience comes at Bundesliga 2 level, with both Nuremberg and Darmstadt. He was part of the SV98 team that gained promotion to the Bundesliga in the 14/15 season, however, was sold that summer.

Both Christoph Zimmermann and Marcel Franke were signed from lower German tiers, so Behrens may be able to gel well with their styles of play and this could lead to success for the trio with the Canaries.

Norwich have already made seven signings this summer, with Daniel Farke making changes throughout his squad.

Villa considering swoop for Zambian midfielder .
According to a report in the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa and Birmingham City are both interested in signing in former Villareal and Atletico Madrid midfielder Gabriel Kunda Jr. The 24-year-old Zambian can play in the center of the park as well as in a more attacking role on the right-hand side. Injuries and disciplinary issues prevented him from prospering at Atletico Madrid, and a promising spell at Real Zaragoza saw him given the opportunity to sign for AS Monaco, PSV, and Villareal – he chose the latter. However, he was unable to fulfill his promise at the Spanish club, and he made no appearances for the senior side. He might now be given the opportunity to resurrect his career with a move to Birmingham. He is clearly a talented player, but he needs to sort his attitude out because he is at a time in his career where he needs to be playing regular football. With games coming thick and fast throughout the Championship season, he will be given the chance to show everyone what he is made of.
