How Jurgen Klopp's new look Liverpool will shape up this season

How Jurgen Klopp's new look Liverpool will shape up this season Liverpool are yet to make significant progress in their pursuit of Jurgen Klopp’s top two targets for the summer, Virgil van Dijk and Naby Keita, with the Echo reporting that not even a world record £100m bid would convince Red Bull Leipzig to sell the latter. Both sagas, as well as the proposed move for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, are set to rumble on but none are looking like certainties at this stage. With Andrew Robertson also on the Reds’ radar as per the Mail, the below video looks at how Liverpool should line up next season. It remains to be seen whether vice-captain James Milner will retain his place at left-back or whether any replacement signing for Alberto Moreno, who the BBC claim has been the subject of a bid from Napoli, will be thrust straight into action. Klopp will also have an abundance of options in midfield with captain Jordan Henderson now back in training. If Keita joins, the Guinean will have Henderson, Emre Can, Gini Wijnaldum, Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho among others to contend with. Reds fans will also hope Daniel Sturridge can stay fit and provide Roberto Firmino with fierce competition for the central striker spot.

Andrew Robertson reportedly leaves Hull City's training camp in Portugal to finalise an £8m switch to Liverpool .

Liverpool have long been linked with a move for a left -back with Alberto Moreno seemingly surplus to requirements. Andy Robertson has reportedly left Hull 's training camp in Portugal.

Andrew Robertson’s move to Liverpool looks set to be completed after the Scottish international left Hull City’s training camp in Portugal.

The Reds are expected to pay £8million for the 23-year-old and he’ll become the club’s third summer signings after Dominic Solanke and Mohamed Salah.

Robertson’s arrival looks likely to signal the end of Alberto Moreno’s Liverpool career, with the Reds reportedly asking for around £15million for the Spanish full-back.

Robertson will compete with James Milner for the starting left-back role next season and he will fancy his chances of forcing himself into the first team.

Liverpool close in on Robertson

Liverpool close in on Robertson Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Andrew Robertson from Hull, according to the Guardian. The report claims that Liverpool have agreed a fee in the region of £8m for Robertson, who is set to sign for the club in the coming days. Robertson, 23, has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool this summer and looks to have now secured his move. Despite Hull’s relegation from the Premier League, Robertson impressed at left-back last season and caught the eye of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. Klopp was forced to play midfielder James Milner at left-back for much of last season, so bringing in a natural fullback was a priority for the German boss this summer. Robertson has been at Hull for three seasons, two of which were spent in the Premier League – with one promotion winning campaign in the Championship. The Scottish international is now set for a medical ahead of his official unveiling.

Despite his relatively young age, Robertson made 115 appearances for the Tigers since arriving from Dundee United back in 2014 and he will no be hoping to establish himself in Liverpool’s squad.

Jurgen Klopp signed Gini Wijnaldum from a relegated side last season and he had a huge impact on Liverpool’s season so fans will be hoping for a similar outcome with Robertson.
