Lazio looking at Lucas Leiva

Lazio looking at Lucas Leiva Lazio are eyeing a move for Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva, according to reports in Italy. The Serie A side look set to lose their own Lucas, Lucas Biglia, to AC Milan and are eyeing possible replacements and Liverpool’s Brazilian veteran is the name at the top of their shortlist. The 30-year-old is about to enter the final season of his current Liverpool deal and with game time far from assured, there has been plenty of speculation about his future status at the club. Having arrived at Anfield in 2007, Lucas is Liverpool’s longest serving player and is a very popular member of the squad. However, with plenty of players ahead of him in the pecking order, he could find himself struggling to get regular minutes and therefore he might fancy a transfer. He was linked with moved to Turkey in January but those never materialised, so time will tell if a transfer to Italy actually takes place.

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva appears to be closing in on a move to Lazio after the Italian club posted a picture of the Brazilian on their official Twitter account. The Brazilian, who had been the subject of a £5million bid, was pictured holding a Lazio scarf at an airport.
