He’s likely to be too far down in Antonio Conte’s pecking order to really make an impact this season, and this has prompted him to seek pastures new.

Remy, who turned 30 at the start of the year, is a proven goalscorer but has struggled badly with injuries in recent times. He was sent out on loan to Crystal Palace last term but his fitness worries got the better of him.

Marca: Romelu Lukaku has passed medical at Man United

Marca: Romelu Lukaku has passed medical at Man United Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku has passed a medical at Manchester United ahead of his £75m move to the Old Trafford club, according to a report on the Express, who quote Spanish news outlet Marca. The striker looked set to re-join Chelsea from Everton but it seems that United manager Jose Mourinho has convinced the forward to join the Red Devils as he looks to challenge for the Premier League in his second season at the club. It was widely reported that Lukaku would have his medical with United in the United States as United prepare for their pre-season tour. However, the Manchester Evening News report that the medical is not yet completed but it is very close to being done and will be confirmed very soon by Manchester United. Twitter: No Lukaku medical yet but #mufc still hopeful of completing transfer before the end of the week. #efc (@samuelluckhurst) Chelsea are still not giving up on their chase for Lukaku and are still hopeful of convincing the striker to return to Stamford Bridge, but it sees that the forward has made his decision to join his good friend Paul Pogba at United. Lukaku was in prolific scoring form last season for Everton as the 24-year-old netted 25 times in the Premier League which got numerous clubs interested in securing his signature.

The 25-year-old has long been linked with a switch to the English top flight, with the Toffees the latest to make a move regarding a transfer.

Loic Remy ' s expected departure from Chelsea has alerted Everton and Marseille, according to Sky sources. Spendthrift Everton is apparently interested in Remy , despite already adding Wayne Rooney and Sandro Ramirez to its front line in a busy summer window.

The experienced forward was in pre-season action for Chelsea yesterday though and netted twice as the Blues comprehensively saw Fulham off in an 8-2 win.

Chelsea desperate to sell Loic Remy .
Chelsea are reportedly very keen to offload unwanted striker Loic Remy, due to his high wage bill, which the Blues want to set aside, according to a report covered by Sport Witness. The 30-year-old is reported to be wanted by Premier League rivals Watford, Everton and Southampton, as well as Serie A outfit Lazio and former club Marseille, who could provide stiff competition for the striker’s signature. Chelsea signed Remy back in 2014, for £11.2 million, and his career at Stamford Bridge has gone downhill ever since. He made 32 appearances in Chelsea colours, bagging eight goals, including one on his debut against Swansea City. Last season, he spent his time on loan at Crystal Palace, however an injury heavily restricted his playing time, and he only played eight times for the Selhurst Park side. The Frenchman is reported to be on a very high wage at Stamford Bridge, despite his lack of game time, meaning Antonio Conte is keen to get rid of Remy, so that this money can be spent elsewhere.
