While the interest in Josh King may be somewhat of a surprise, the Bournemouth striker could prove to be a smart long-term investment for Everton . Josh King has been the subject of intense transfer speculation recently, with Tottenham Hotspur apparently favourites to sign him.

Everton interest , with speculation surrounding Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley, is behind their presence among Josh King next club tips. Ross Barkley, whose own future on Merseyside is in doubt unless he signs a new contract, is Everton ’s next top scorer with just five.

Everton, like Tottenham, are interested in signing Bournemouth striker Josh King, according to Matt Law of The Telegraph.

Having sold Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United, the Blues are in the market for another forward and have been linked to Christian Benteke and Olivier Giroud in the last few days.

However, it looks like King is also on their list of targets, although they will have to fend off interest from Tottenham to get him.

West Brom interested in Afobe move

West Brom interested in Afobe move West Brom are interested in signing Bournemouth striker Benik Afobe, according to the Daily Mail. The report claims that Wolves and West Brom are both keen on signing the forward this summer. Afobe could be on the move after Bournemouth completed the signing of Jermain Defoe from Sunderland on a free transfer. Josh King and Calum Wilson are also fighting Afobe for a spot in the Bournemouth side. The striker signed for Bournemouth in January 2016 for £10m from Championship side Wolves but has not had the impact some expected. The former Arsenal man has scored ten league goals since his arrival on the south coast and could be shipped out this summer. West Brom completed the signing of Jay Rodriguez from Southampton on Sunday but could yet add to their forward line. The report does not state a price for Afobe, or whether any deal would be a loan option.

Everton eye Bournemouth's King . Lyndon Lloyd | Sunday, 02 July 2017 35 Comments [Jump to last]. Everton could go head-to-head with Tottenham in a battle to sign Josh King as reports suggest the Blues are interested in the striker.

Battle for King . Bournemouth striker Josh King is hot property after a stunning end to his Premier League campaign. Spurs aren’t alone in showing an interest in signing the forward. Everton also wants to sign him.

King scored 16 goals in 36 Premier League games last season as Bournemouth once again did enough to stay in the Premier League and it looks like those stats have impressed both Everton and Spurs.

Whether Bournemouth are willing to sell is another matter as they are looking to establish themselves as a regular Premier League side and selling their best player isn’t conducive to them achieving that aim.

Everton remain interested in Virgil van Dijk .
Everton are still interested in signing Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk, according to the Daily Star. The 26-year old centre-back’s future has been a large topic of discussion for several months now, with a number of elite clubs said to be interested in his signature. According to the Star, Koeman attempted to sign van Dijk in January although a knee injury scuppered a potential move. Rival club Liverpool have been most heavily linked this summer, although the Reds released a statement in early June declaring an end to the club’s interest in the player, following a tapping-up claim by the South Coast club. With Ramiro Funes Mori now facing an injury lay-off, Koeman may look to further strengthen his backline, having already brought in Michael Keane from Burnley for an initial fee of £25million. Koeman was the man to bring the Netherlands international to England for £13million two years ago from Celtic, and now hopes to reunite with the player who is now regarded as one of the best defenders in the Premier League.
