Robert Streb surged into contention on the third day of the Greenbrier Classic aided by two of the best shots of the PGA Tour season.

Streb carded a best-of-the-day 65 to pull within two strokes of long-time leader Sebastian Munoz at The Old White TPC in West Virginia, and the American had everyone talking about his monster putt at the first and his near-miss for a rare albatross at the 12th.

The 30-year-old, who lost out in a play-off at this event two years ago, got his third round off to a spectacular start when he came up way short with his approach to the opening green, only to drain a remarkable putt of over 90 feet for a bonus birdie.

Streb was three under for the day and challenging for the lead after he made his fifth birdie at the 11th, and even better was to follow at the par-five 12th despite pulling his drive into the rough on the left.

With 231-yards to the pin. Streb laced a hybrid out of a fortunate lie and his ball bounded onto the green and began tracking towards the hole, although it ran out of steam just a foot short of the cup to leave a tap-in for eagle.
