Juventus have offered Alex Sandro a new deal in a last ditch bid to convince him not to join Chelsea . The Brazil left back is keen to move to Stamford Bridge after Chelsea promised to double his wages to around £150,000-a-week.

Alex Sandro has been offered a new contract by Juventus amid increasing interest from Chelsea , according to reports in Italy. The Brazilian full back has emerged as a top target for Blues boss Antonio Conte in recent days but Juve do not want to lose the 26-year-old.

Juventus have offered Brazilian full-back Alex Sandro a new deal in a last ditch attempt to convince him to stay at the Serie A champions as Chelsea’s £52m bid gets rejected, according to the Evening Standard.

The Premier League champions are confident of securing the deal but their huge offer of £52m wasn’t enough to convince Juventus to sell one of their star players. The Italian giants are reported to want that much as only a ‘minimum’ so Chelsea are expected to increase their offer, although it has also been claimed that the Blues have reached a £60m agreement for the Brazilian.

However, Juventus are desperate to keep the 26-year-old and have offered him a pay rise where he will earn £100,000-a-week. The player himself is keen on a move to Stamford Bridge as the London club have promised to increase his wages considerably to £150,000-a-week.

Despite the brilliant performances of Marcos Alonso last season, manager Antonio Conte is still keen to strengthen his squad as the Italian gets ready to defend their Premier League title and also compete with Europe’s elite in the UEFA Champions League.

Sandro showed that he was one of the best left-sided full-backs in the world last season after brilliant performances on their road to the Champions League final. The Brazilian provides pace and energy on the flank and loves to get forward, shown by his three goals in the Serie A last season.

Sandro has seen his value double in the last two years as he joined the Turin club from Porto for £22.7m in 2015 and has become an established starter in the team.

Chelsea facing fresh competition for Alex Sandro .
Over the last few weeks, Chelsea have been trying to finalise a deal to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus. At one stage, a club-record £61m deal which would see Sandro become the most expensive defender of all time was reportedly close to being completed, but now it seems there could be some complications. Those complications come in the form of clubs rivalling the Blues for the Brazilian as Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio states that both Manchester City and PSG have entered the race to sign Sandro this summer. Sandro has spent the last two seasons in Serie A with Juventus following a £23m switch from Porto in 2015 and has established himself as one of the best left-backs in the game today. Chelsea have been negotiating personal terms with Sandro and a deal is close to completion, but now with more clubs reportedly looking to sign him, that could slow down the transfer process once again.
