Shakira feels her soccer beau is like a soldier

Shakira feels her soccer beau is like a soldier Shakira has likened her relationship with her soccer star beau to being "married to a soldier". The Colombian performer, who is in a long-term relationship with Spanish player Gerard Pique, has opened up about the challenges of managing both of their busy careers. The Hips Don't Lie singer told U.K.'s Hello! magazine that she finds it frustrating when she has to spend time apart from the 29-year-old Barcelona-based sportsman. “It’s like being married to a soldier, except that he doesn’t die in battle," she sighed. "Gerard is anchored to Barcelona and can’t travel – they get a few days off a month, but otherwise he has to be there for his team every day pretty much, training and playing matches." The 39-year-old singer, who shares sons Milan, three, and Sasha, 13 months, with Gerard, also reveals their demanding schedules mean that the couple has to make compromises. “This has been a learning curve for me, because I like to travel a lot and I’m like, ‘What do you mean, you can’t go? Let’s go!’” she laughed. However, the blonde beauty is fine with her sons playing sports as she thinks it will teach them good values. “I have been playing solo for all of my life and it’s very different to live with a person who has to think about his team and be mindful of them as well as of himself," she explained. “That’s why I want my kids to learn all about sports even if they don’t end up doing it professionally – the way it shapes the personality of children is just fantastic." The Grammy-winner also regards Gerard as being a "wonderful father" and role model for her sons. "Since the kids were born, a tender side of him has come out. He is the one who changes the diapers and he is there for them as he is there for me," she added.

Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu keen to concentrate on Spain duties amid interest from old club Barcelona . The La Liga giants have a buy - back clause in Deulofeu 's contract. Deulofeu rediscovered his form on loan at Milan last season.

Gerard Deulofeu is reestablishing himself at AC Milan and he was boosted by a great showing for the Spanish national team in a 2-0 win over France. Deulofeu came through the Barcelona youth system and was loaned to Everton in 2013.

Gerard Deulofeu is set to be bought back by Barcelona which will see Everton receive a fee of £10.5million for the winger, according to The Times.

Deulofeu failed to impress under Ronald Koeman and Everton will receive more than double what they paid for the youngster two years ago.

The winger scored four goals in 17 appearances for AC Milan last season, as he spent the second half of the season on loan at the Serie A side.

Barcelona could have bought back Deulofeu last summer for £6.3million but were reluctant to do so. It now appears that Deulofeu’s appearances for Milan have changed the Catalan club’s mind as they prepare to trigger their buy-back option on the player.

Deulofeu is a graduate of Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy, first moving to Goodison Park on loan under the management of Roberto Martinez back in 2013, before rejoining in a permanent move in 2015.

Deulofeu was reported as not wanting to return to the Nou Camp earlier this month, although the situation has obviously changed, with the 23-year old seemingly foregoing his option to veto the move.

Deulofeu rejects chance to return to Barcelona .
Barcelona have exercised their buy-back option for Spanish winger Gerard Deulofeu and are looking to bring him back to the Camp Nou for a £10 million fee, but according to the Mail, the player has rejected the move. Deulofeu was originally sold by the Spanish giants to Everton in 2015 after a successful loan spell with the Toffees in 2013, but the young Spaniard failed to nail down a starting spot on his return to the Merseyside club. The 23-year-old has since re-grabbed the attention of his boyhood club after delivering impressive performances during his loan spell at AC Milan this past season and currently in the Under-21 European Championships. The crux in this potential reunion lies in Deulofeu’s desire to make Spain’s World Cup squad next summer. The fleet-footed winger knows he needs to be playing regular first-team football to break into a squad filled to the brim with attacking talent, and he is reportedly fully aware he would not find such a chance with the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar leading the Barcelona front-line. Mundo Deportivo have reported that the Catalan giants have been notified of Deulofeu’s reluctance to return to Barcelona and they have until Friday to persuade the youngster to re-join as their buy-back option expires at the end of June.
