Chelsea rekindle their interest in Adama Traore

Chelsea rekindle their interest in Adama Traore Chelsea are set to rekindle their interest in Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore, according to a report from Simon Johnson of the Evening Standard. The Premier League champions made an enquiry for 21-year-old back in January and it looks like they are set to make another attempt to sign him this summer. Middlesbrough have put an asking price of around £20million on the Spaniard, although Chelsea would not be willing to pay such a high amount. However, they will look to negotiate a deal with the relegated side to get the price down as Antonio Conte wants to add at least one more attacking wide player to his squad. Johnson reports that Conte would have liked to have signed Dries Mertens and even asked the club to make a bid but he was told that signing a 30-year-old for such a high amount wasn’t something that they were willing to do so Traore is the man they’ll look to bring in. Twitter: Re. #cfc interest in Traore. Conte asked club to sign Dries Mertens, but they didn’t want a 30-year-old.Traore is deal close though.

Middlesbrough’s Adama Traore has been linked with a summer move to West Ham . If Traore signs for around 8-10m I think he will be an interesting squad addition. I’m not going to get too excited about him yet, but he could be a real wildcard for the future.

Middlesbrough’s Adama Traore has been linked with a summer move to West Ham . It is set to be a busy transfer window for both clubs, but Boro will hope they can survive without losing too many of their best players. On the face of it a signing like Adama Traore would suit the Hammers well.

Adama Traore’s reported transfer from Middlesbrough to West Ham United has gathered pace and could even be completed this week, according to a report in The Northern Echo.

Strong rumors have suggested that the winger’s representatives met senior West Ham officials at the end of last week, and that the deal could be completed as quickly as later on this week.

Traore will cost The Hammers in the region of £8 million for his services, the same fee Middlesborough paid Aston Villa last summer.

New boss Garry Monk is allowing the winger to move on from The Riverside who struggled last campaign, failing to find the back of the net and registering only one assist in his 16 Premier League starts for Middlesborough.

The 21-year-old spent a total of 11 years in Barcelona’s youth ranks and managed to make one appearance with the first team during that time, before moving to Aston Villa in 2015.

Lyon in advanced talks to sign West Ham target Traore .
West Ham’s search for a new striker has taken them to Stamford Bridge where three of their forwards are believed to be on our radar. While a loan move for Tammy Abraham remains unlikely, both Michy Batshuayi and Bertrand Traore are much more realistic targets of ours. It was claimed recently that the Hammers had lodged a bid to sign Traore this summer off the back of an impressive loan spell at Ajax last season where he scored 13 goals in all competitions playing primarily from a wide forward position. Everton, Lille, Borussia Monchengladbach and Schalke had all been linked with a move for the Burkina Faso international but L’Equipe (h/t GFFN) have claimed that Lyon are in advanced talks with Chelsea for his transfer. The Ligue 1 side are confident that they will agree personal terms with the striker by the end of the week which will speed up the transfer. Chelsea and Lyon are currently discussing the structure of the deal which is expected to be ironed out. Traore is said to be available for £17.5m but a move to West Ham is looking increasingly unlikely.
