Juventus quote Chelsea £52m for defender Alex Sandro

Juventus quote Chelsea £52m for defender Alex Sandro Chelsea will have to part with £52 million in order to land Alex Sandro from Juventus this summer, according to the Evening Standard. Antonio Conte is keen to add strength in depth to his wide areas, in particularly the wing backs. Sandro fits the bill perfectly for Chelsea but whether or not Juventus want to sell is another question. Massimo Allegri will be desperate to keep the core of his squad together after falling at the final hurdle and losing in the Champions League final against Real Madrid. Chelsea remain interested in both Ryan Bertrand and Benjamin Mendy as they look for alternatives to provide competition for Marcos Alonso at Stamford Bridge. With Champions League football to contend with next season, the Blues will need to add to their squad or face being caught out with the added demands. Defence is one area in particular that the Premier League champions are keen to strengthen this summer.

Chelsea have reached a £60 million agreement for Juventus defender Alex Sandro, according to reports in Italy.

Repubblica, as cited on Vecchia Signora, claim the two clubs have reached an agreement after the Premier League champions had previous bids rejected for the player.

The Italian champions have already identified who they would replace the Brazilian with, as they target AS Monaco’s Benjamin Mendy.

Sandro joined Juventus in 2015 from Porto and has been a mainstay in their squad ever since.

Antonio Conte will be desperate to make some marquee signings this summer to avoid the club making the same mistakes as they did under Jose Mourinho.

Reports have suggested the lack of transfer activity has caused some friction at board level at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea remain hopeful that their Italian head coach will sign a new deal at the club but transfers both in and out are likely to influence that.

Alex Sandro tells Juventus he wants to move to Chelsea .
Alex Sandro has informed Juventus of his desire to move to Chelsea this summer, Eurosport reports. The player has been linked with a summer move that now appears to be edging closer. The report suggests that it is now down to the two clubs to finalise a fee for the player. Juventus will reportedly demand a huge figure somewhere in the region of €70 million, which converts to just over £60 million. Sandro joined Juventus in 2015 from FC Porto and has been a mainstay in their system since his arrival. During his time in Italy, he has won two Serie A titles, two Coppa Italias and helped the Old Lady reach the Champions League final last season. Juventus are already preparing for Sandro’s departure by planning moves for AC Milan’s Mattia De Sciglio and Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian. The Italian giants now face the prospect of losing both Sandro and Dani Alves, who himself had been linked to Chelsea, but looks set to join Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
