I want four more! Kane fires warning to Hull City as Tottenham star closes on Golden Boot Tottenham's Harry Kane leads the Golden Boot standings and he has told his rivals that he plans to stay there by the end of the final day.Harry Kane says he wants to score four more goals against Hull City to clinch the Premier League Golden Boot after his masterful display in Tottenham's thrashing of Leicester City.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is loving his duel with Leicester City forward and England team mate Jamie Vardy for the Premier League golden boot this season. It's good competition, to be up there and fighting for the golden boot .

England’s ‘complete’ Harry Kane can win the Euro 2016 Golden Boot , says Tottenham legend Teddy Sheringham. Alex Taylor for 31 May 2016 11:18 am. Harry Kane has been in sensational form again this season (Picture: Getty).

Harry Kane took a huge step towards the Premier League Golden Boot as he smashed four goals in Tottenham's 6-1 demolition of Leicester.

The Tottenham striker's stunning four-goal haul at the King Power Stadium took him to 26 for the campaign, two ahead of Everton's Romelu Lukaku and three clear of Arsenal man Alexis Sanchez.

Kane is now the big favourite to claim the prize outright, but could Lukaku or Sanchez close the gap on the final day? We assess the three-way battle…

Kane wants to reach 100 Premier League goals next season

Kane wants to reach 100 Premier League goals next season The striker has already turned his attention to 2017-18, targeting the century mark of goals as he currently sits on 75 Premier League strikes. "I think I said to someone the other day it would be great if I can get to that 100 club by the end of next season," Kane said."I am on 75 in the league and if there is another season like this then hopefully I can get to the 100. It would be a fantastic achievement."I think there were three games I did not score in [at the start of the season] and then I went on a good run.

While Kane is battling at Spurs for title glory, he also has a personal agenda for the rest of the season. The England forward is on 14 Premier League goals, and sits two behind top scorer Romelu Lukaku in the race for the Golden Boot .

They're spearheading their teams in a two-horse race for the title but Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane are vying for a personal accolade too. The duo lead the race for the Golden Boot with Tottenham striker Kane (22 goals) one better than his Leicester counterpart (21 goals).

Harry KaneGoals: 26Final game: Hull (a)

Kane won last year's Golden Boot with 25 goals but he surpassed that total with his fourth against Leicester on Thursday night. It was the first quadruple of his professional career and made him the first Tottenham player to score four hat-tricks in a season since Jimmy Greaves in 1968/69.

"I've been thinking a lot about getting on the scoresheet this week," he told Sky Sports afterwards. "It's the first time I've scored four goals and it's a good time to do it.

"I was looking to get one or two goals at least and hopefully take it into the last game but now I'm in the driving seat. There's still one game to play so I'm not resting on my laurels. I've got to go out there against Hull and try and get four more."

Kane: 'It's massive to win the Golden Boot again'

Kane: 'It's massive to win the Golden Boot again' The Tottenham star doubted his goalscoring heroics were possible this term after a pair of injury absencesHarry Kane took pride in the "special" achievement of retaining the Premier League Golden Boot after scoring a second hat-trick this week in Tottenham's 7-1 hammering of relegated Hull City. Ben Davies is well-placed to predict who will win the battle between Harry Kane and Ashley Williams at White Hart Lane today. "I don't see why he won't win the Golden Boot . He's got the drive and the determination."

What's most impressive about Kane's total is that he has managed it in just 29 appearances, meaning he has averaged a goal every 94 minutes. It is the best strike rate of any Premier League player to have scored more than six times this season. He will be confident of adding to his tally against Hull.

Romelu LukakuGoals: 24Final game: Arsenal (a)

A few weeks ago it seemed Lukaku had the prize wrapped up. The Belgian's powerful finish in Everton's 3-1 win over Burnley on April 15 was his 13th goal in 10 Premier League games and made him the first Everton player to score in nine straight home fixtures since Dixie Dean in 1934.

Lukaku was well clear at the top of the scoring charts at that point, but since then he has failed to find the net in four games. It's his most barren run of the season, and on Thursday night in the East Midlands Kane took full advantage.

The Everton man's hopes of sharing the prize - or claiming it outright - now rest on whether he can score at least twice against in-form Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. This has been the best season of his career regardless of what happens on Sunday, but missing out on the Golden Boot would be a frustrating way to end it.

Golden Boot winner Kane 'one of the world's best' says Pochettino

Golden Boot winner Kane 'one of the world's best' says Pochettino The England star's second straight top scorer triumph led to effusive praise from the Spurs boss, who also spared a thought for his goalkeeperTottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino hailed Harry Kane after he won the Golden Boot for a second straight Premier League season, but sympathised with Hugo Lloris after the goalkeeper missed out on the Golden Glove.

IAN WRIGHT says the race for the Premier League Golden Boot is a straight fight between Harry Kane and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Wright says Manchester United star Ibrahimovic and Tottenham striker Kane are the two players who will surge clear in the goalscoring charts this season.

Harry Kane 's 25 goals in the English top flight this season made him the division's leading scorer - but where does the Tottenham star's performance in 2015-16 rank in Premier League Golden Boot history?

Alexis SanchezGoals: 23Final game: Everton (h)

He may be three goals behind Kane but Sanchez's recent form suggests it might be foolish to rule him out of the running completely. The irrepressible Chilean has netted four goals in his last three appearances for the Gunners, including his double in Tuesday's 2-0 win over Sunderland.

Sanchez has already scored one hat-trick this season in Arsenal's 5-1 demolition over West Ham back in December, but his record against Everton does not inspire too much confidence. The 28-year-old has only scored once in five appearances against the Merseysiders.

Sanchez has already achieved his highest total for league goals in a single season, but he has his work cut out to get his hands on the Golden Boot.

Jamie Carragher's verdict

"Kane has put himself in a position to win his second Golden Boot. You would be very surprised if he doesn't go and do it. It's difficult for Lukaku to go and score two away at Arsenal. Maybe Sanchez being at home and with Arsenal having more to play for fighting for the top four, but it hasn't been a great night for Lukaku or Sanchez. It's been a massive night for Kane."

The Tottenham striker has scored seven goals in his last two Premier League outingsSince Kevin Phillips for Sunderland in the 1999-2000 Premier League season, no Englishman has finished a campaign winning the Golden Boot award. That was until Harry Kane popped up to score 25 goals last term.
