Kendrick Lamar releases new album Damn including U2 and Rihanna collaborations – stream it here .
Rapper Kendrick Lamar has released Damn, his eagerly anticipated fourth full-length release – you can stream it below on Spotify now. The 29-year-old's new record features collaborations with pop star Rihanna on Loyalty, and, somewhat surprisingly, rock band U2 during XXX. A whole host of producers, including Mike WiLL Made-It, BADBADNOTGOOD, the Alchemist, DJ Dahi, British electronic producer James Blake and Sounwave, are credited, according to a full tracklist posted on Jay Z's music service Tidal. The new LP follows swiftly on from the acclaimed release of lead single Humble, which sees Lamar attack what he sees as a braggadocious yet vacuous and superficial scene developing within hip-hop. As part of this attack, Humble was also lauded for celebrating the natural woman, with lyrics including: "I'm so f****n sick and tired of the Photoshop, show me somethin' natural like afro on Richard Pryor." It appears that The Heart Part 4, released in March, served simply as a prelude to Damn as it does not appear on the official tracklist. Damn follows on from last year's mixtape Untitled Unmastered and his lauded 2015 album To Pimp a Butterfly. Check back with IBTimes UK over the course of the weekend for a more detailed look at the new album, but here is everything we know so far. 01 BLOOD Composer(s): Anthony Tiffith, K. Duckworth, D.
