Palace have no option to make Sakho's move from Liverpool permanent

Palace have no option to make Sakho's move from Liverpool permanent Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that previous reports which suggested that Crystal Palace have an option to make Mamadou Sakho’s loan move a permanent deal in the summer are incorrect. Speaking at his press conference ahead of Liverpool’s game with West Brom this weekend, the German boss told reporters that there is no clause in the deal, which will be a blow to Palace fans. The French international has been in great form for the Eagles since breaking into the squad in recent weeks and most fans would agree that they’d like to keep him at the club on a permanent basis. However, Liverpool are apparently asking for around £30million for the 27-year-old and, if he carries on playing at his current level, there’ll probably be a club willing to splash the cash on him. A high asking price might not completely rule Palace out of the running to sign Sakho but with no clause in place, he’s likely to have a large number of options as his disposal.

Crystal Palace are reportedly looking to make the most out of players like Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy being available on a free transfer in the summer. Clichy and Sagna appear to interest Sam Allardyce, who has always been a manager with an eye for older players.

Bacary Sagna is on Crystal Palace ’s list of targets this summer. Allardyce was also linked with a £20m move for City goalkeeper Joe Hart last week, as he eyes a return to the Premier League after a loan spell in Italy with Torino.

Crystal Palace will attempt to sign Manchester City and France full-back Bacary Sagna on a free transfer this summer, according to a report in the print edition of the Mirror.

The French full-back already has a reported one-year contract offer on the table from West Ham but he’s yet to sign it and Crystal Palace look set to offer him a similar deal.

Allardyce tried to sign Arsenal’s Carl Jenkinson on loan in January so it looks like he sees right-back as a position where he needs to add some depth and Sagna could be the man he brings in to beef up the squad.

Parish insists Palace are confident of keeping Zaha

Parish insists Palace are confident of keeping Zaha Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has stated he is confident that the club can keep hold of Wilfried Zaha this summer, warding off potential suitors. Zaha is in the form of his life having scored six goals and eleven assists in the league and has gained attention from many clubs across Europe, but Tottenham seem to be at the top of the lot to sign the Ivory Coast international. Zaha put in another exceptional display in Wednesday’s 3-0 win over Arsenal, in which the 24-year-old provided two assists. Tottenham tried to sign Zaha last summer, but their £14 million bid was set aside after claiming it was ‘ridiculous’ by the Palace chairman, but Spurs remain keen on the winger and will try again this summer. Parish is about to start talks with Zaha of a contract extension, as quoted by the Evening Standard. His current contract lasts until 2020 but, with a lot of interest from different clubs, Parish believes that he can keep hold of a player of his level. “Wilf is focused on the end of the season and keeping us in the division. That’s what he’s keen to do. We’re keen to do that.” “We’ll sit down and talk at the end of the season and I’m very confident we can keep him here. We’re not looking to sell any players. We’re looking to go up the league.

Palace goalkeeper edging closer to summer exit .
Crystal Palace goalkeeper Steve Mandanda looks to be edging ever closer to an exit from the club this summer. The Frenchman has had a highly underwhelming tenure in English football so far and has found consistency hard to come by since his highly anticipated exit from Ligue 1 side Marseille. However, the experienced shot stopper could very well be set for a return to his homeland with his former club. According to the printed version of leading French news outlet L’Equipe, as cited in a report today by Sport Witness, the Marseille goalkeeping coaches believe that Mandanda is nailed on to make the switch in the summer and return to the club. It’s stated in the newspaper report that the ‘keeper would regard the move as ‘a dream’, and it’s highly likely that he’ll be heading out of Selhurst Park this summer. Wayne Hennessey has been Palace’s first choice goalkeeper this season and Mandanda is looking to be closer than ever to leaving.
