Palace have no option to make Sakho's move from Liverpool permanent

Palace have no option to make Sakho's move from Liverpool permanent Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that previous reports which suggested that Crystal Palace have an option to make Mamadou Sakho’s loan move a permanent deal in the summer are incorrect. Speaking at his press conference ahead of Liverpool’s game with West Brom this weekend, the German boss told reporters that there is no clause in the deal, which will be a blow to Palace fans. The French international has been in great form for the Eagles since breaking into the squad in recent weeks and most fans would agree that they’d like to keep him at the club on a permanent basis. However, Liverpool are apparently asking for around £30million for the 27-year-old and, if he carries on playing at his current level, there’ll probably be a club willing to splash the cash on him. A high asking price might not completely rule Palace out of the running to sign Sakho but with no clause in place, he’s likely to have a large number of options as his disposal.

The 26-year-old has a year left on his current contract and Arsene Wenger is thought to be keen to put in a bid if he loses Gunners stalwart Bacary Sagna . Arsenal player ratings against Crystal Palace : Everyone gets 1

Crystal Palace will attempt to sign Manchester City and France full-back Bacary Sagna on a free transfer this summer, according to a report in the print edition of the Mirror.

The French full-back already has a reported one-year contract offer on the table from West Ham but he’s yet to sign it and Crystal Palace look set to offer him a similar deal.

Allardyce tried to sign Arsenal’s Carl Jenkinson on loan in January so it looks like he sees right-back as a position where he needs to add some depth and Sagna could be the man he brings in to beef up the squad.

Palace goalkeeper edging closer to summer exit .
Crystal Palace goalkeeper Steve Mandanda looks to be edging ever closer to an exit from the club this summer. The Frenchman has had a highly underwhelming tenure in English football so far and has found consistency hard to come by since his highly anticipated exit from Ligue 1 side Marseille. However, the experienced shot stopper could very well be set for a return to his homeland with his former club. According to the printed version of leading French news outlet L’Equipe, as cited in a report today by Sport Witness, the Marseille goalkeeping coaches believe that Mandanda is nailed on to make the switch in the summer and return to the club. It’s stated in the newspaper report that the ‘keeper would regard the move as ‘a dream’, and it’s highly likely that he’ll be heading out of Selhurst Park this summer. Wayne Hennessey has been Palace’s first choice goalkeeper this season and Mandanda is looking to be closer than ever to leaving.
