These rumours came about when Cabaye said that Marseille’s new project in Ligue 1 was ‘attractive’, this quote led to many reports in the French media saying that he was excited about a possible return to his home country. However, these rumours were put to bed on Tuesday night as Cabaye took to twitter to confirm that he has no plans to transfer to Marseille in the summer. He said: “I confirm @flogazan! Thanks for reestablishing the truth!!!” Twitter: Je confirme @flogazan ! Merci d’avoir rétabli la vérité !!! @lequipedusoir (@YCabayeofficiel) It appears the Crystal Palace player was watching L’Equipe du Sir, where journalist Florian Gazan explains, relayed by Goal France: “Cabaye first and foremost wants to stay in the Premier League, whether it is at Crystal Palace, where he has a year left, or in another club as he has other contacts in England.” “He’s very happy in England, where he still has a very good reputation, and doesn’t have the intention of retuning to France.” Yohan Cabaye who has scored twice and assisted twice this season will miss Palace’s game against Arsenal on Monday night due to injury, and given his importance to the team, he will be a huge miss to the Palace squad.

Crystal Palace target Kara Mbodj has been talking up a possible summer move to the Premier League, as reported by SportWitness, who cite Belgian newsletter HLN.

Mbodj’s current club, Anderlecht rejected a €12 million offer for the defender from Palace during the January transfer window, when Sam Allardyce was trying to strengthen his squad upon his arrival.

The player has been handed the nickname ‘King Kara’ but the report suggests that the player is enjoying the tag a little too much, with the name going to his head following rumours linking him with a move to the Premier League.

Palace have no option to make Sakho's move from Liverpool permanent

Palace have no option to make Sakho's move from Liverpool permanent Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that previous reports which suggested that Crystal Palace have an option to make Mamadou Sakho’s loan move a permanent deal in the summer are incorrect. Speaking at his press conference ahead of Liverpool’s game with West Brom this weekend, the German boss told reporters that there is no clause in the deal, which will be a blow to Palace fans. The French international has been in great form for the Eagles since breaking into the squad in recent weeks and most fans would agree that they’d like to keep him at the club on a permanent basis. However, Liverpool are apparently asking for around £30million for the 27-year-old and, if he carries on playing at his current level, there’ll probably be a club willing to splash the cash on him. A high asking price might not completely rule Palace out of the running to sign Sakho but with no clause in place, he’s likely to have a large number of options as his disposal.

Premier League . Current transfer rumours targeting Serigne Modou Kara Mbodj and his transfer history before joining Anderlecht FC. Arsenal are also weighing up a £3m move for Tromso midfielder Kara Mbodj after he impressed chief scout Steve Rowley.

Modji has not hidden his ambitions either, the defender believes this summer could be the right time in his career to make the move to the Premier League.

“England is one of my ambitions. In the past I have had the chance to go there, but then it did not happen. Maybe this summer though, we’ll see it succeed. It’s currently not a priority. The only thing that counts is a league title with Anderlecht.”

Mamadou Sakho has been in scintillating form this his arrival on loan from Liverpool during the January transfer window and if they fail to sign him permanently in the summer, Allardyce will be in the market for a central defender.

Palace to battle West Ham in race to sign Kone .
Crystal Palace are interested in signing Sunderland defender Lamine Kone this summer, but will face a challenge for his signature from fellow Premier League side West Ham United, according to a report from Darren Lewis of The Mirror. Sam Allardyce signed the 28-year-old for Sunderland last season and he was a major factor in the Black Cats managing to stay in the top-flight, but it looks like they’ll go down this year and as such, the Ivorian international looks set to leave the club. Palace would like to keep Mamadou Sakho but Liverpool’s asking price might be too much for them to pay and as such, Allardyce is exploring other options. He is all too aware of Kone’s abilities after managing him in the North East and it looks like he’s one of the options being considered as Palace look to plan for the future with Premier League survival all but confirmed. West Ham, Everton and a few other clubs have been lined with a move for Kone in the past so time will tell if Palace can get a deal done for him.
