Bournemouth vs Chelsea: Match preview

Bournemouth vs Chelsea: Match preview Chelsea face another huge challenge in their attempts to win the Premier League this season because before kick-off Tottenham could already have cut the gap at the top to just four points if they’re able to beat Watford at home in Saturday’s early game. Bournemouth have been up and down so far this season, collecting just two points from the turn of the year until the end of February – failing to cope with the departure of Nathan Ake, who was recalled by Chelsea in January, before turning a corner and going on a five-game unbeaten run. These include credible draws away to both Manchester United and Liverpool, whilst earlier on in the season they threw away a three-goal lead to draw with Arsenal and a late Ake goal saw them beat Liverpool 4-3 in one of the games of the season. Josh King has scored 12 league goals this season and has nine goals in his last ten appearances – making him Bournemouth’s top scorer. Dan Gosling is a doubt for the game, having suffered a knee injury last week that ruled him out of the 2-2 draw with Liverpool, while Junior Stanislas is also a doubt. On the other hand, Tyrone Mings will return from his five-game ban for a proposed stamp on Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Ryan Fraser is also expected to return to the starting lineup. For Chelsea, Victor Moses looks set to restore some order to the back-line this Saturday, returning from a toe injury that has seen him miss the last two games.

Chelsea will beat Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, according to the Sky Sports Premier Predictor.

The defeat will end United's 21-game unbeaten run in the Premier League and will send them into sixth place behind Arsenal.

The Gunners suffered a shock 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace last week but are tipped to beat Middlesbrough at the Riverside, which would move Arsene Wenger's side above United on goal difference.

Tottenham are the most probable winners with an 88 per cent chance of defeating Bournemouth at White Hart Lane to maintain the seven-point gap behind Chelsea with six games remaining.

Liverpool and Manchester City are also favourites to win on the road at West Brom and Southampton, respectively.

At the other end of the table, Crystal Palace will defeat champions Leicester to continue their run of form and move nine points clear of the relegation zone.

But it's bad news for the current bottom three, with Sunderland, Swansea and Hull all set to lose this weekend - but the Tigers will narrowly escape the drop come May.

Here's the full list of this weekend's predicted results and season-ending table…
