John Madden coached for more than a decade in Oakland, winning a Super Bowl at the height of the Raiders' glory years.

Naturally, he's finding it hard to see his team relocate to Las Vegas.

"Maybe this is just me being oversensitive, but, doggone it, if you're going to go, that's really tough, but leave us something," Madden told SiriusXM on Wednesday night (via ESPN). "Leave us something here in Oakland. Please."

This isn't the first time the Raiders have relocated. In 1982, four yearsafter Madden's last as coach,the team moved south to Los Angeles.

Madden, 81, says it's different this time.

"Boom, it just goes away."

NFL releases 'statement of reasons' for Raiders relocation .
The NFL wants to explain itself. In the wake of the third NFL team announcing its intended relocation during the span of 15 months, the league released a "statement of reasons"Friday to justify why the Raiders' move from Oakland to Las Vegas was approved by 31 of the league's 32 owners.The league called the Las Vegas proposal "clearly defined and well-financed" while placing blame on Oakland's civic leadership for not finding a way to agree on a stadium that was "adequate for NFL football.
