Aspiring entrepreneurs are reining in their ambitions of starting a new company, according to a survey which shows that the number of people confident in Britain's business environment has fallen to a record low.

The NatWest Entrepreneurship Monitor - which polled 2,044 respondents in the first quarter - shows that less than one in five people feel that now is a good time to start a business.

That is despite a rise in the number of people who said they would like to start a business to 14%, up from 10% and 12% in the third and fourth quarters of 2016 respectively.

However, interest in entrepreneurship has yet to recover to pre-Brexit vote levels of 39%.

Wiz Khalifa launching marijuana-themed mobile app

Wiz Khalifa launching marijuana-themed mobile app Rapper Wiz Khalifa has found a new way to cash in on his love of marijuana by using his pastime as the theme for a new mobile game. The Black and Yellow hitmaker will celebrate the popular 4/20 stoner holiday next week (20Apr17) by launching Wiz Khalifa's Weed Farm, in which gamers will learn how to grow cannabis, harvest the plant, and reinvest their profits to succeed. "It's a fun game and I play it all the time. Better than Pokemon!" Wiz quips. According to a press release, the free mobile app is aimed at shedding light on the growing legalised marijuana industry in the U.S., and the opportunities available for a new generation of entrepreneurs and weed aficionados alike. Game developers at Metamoki plan to allow users to go international with their operations in future updates of Wiz Khalifa's Weed Farm. The hip-hop star is providing a sneak-peek of the app on weedfarm.wizkhalifa.com, where fans will have the chance to win a trip for two to Colorado to go backstage at his Wellness Retreat tour stop on 23 April (17), and visit Wiz's real life marijuana dispensary, Khalifa Kush. Wiz isn't the first rapper and pot smoker to capitalise on the relaxed legalisation regarding marijuana use - his friend and frequent collaborator Snoop Dogg also has his Leafs by Snoop line, which he unveiled in 2015 in Colorado, where recreational weed is legal. He previously launched a new media company dedicated to marijuana projects, titled MerryJane.com, through which he created his MTV comedy series Mary + Jane.

NatWest said that those " doubts " are holding back entrepreneurs across the UK. "Undoubtedly there will be bumps in the road as negotiations on Brexit continue, and confidence levels may fluctuate, but it's very encouraging to see us moving in the right direction again and we expect this to continue

Self- doubt is a dream killer. Negative thinking and a fear of rejection will only fuel feelings of uncertainty and indecision. You cannot succeed if you are holding yourself back . In the book, he interviewed 15 industry luminaries including professors, entrepreneurs , CEO’s and Gene

Of the Britons who have considered starting their own business, two in five said they feel held back by not having a business plan or that borrowing money would put their financial security at risk.

NatWest said that those "doubts" are holding back entrepreneurs across the UK.

In Scotland, the number of people interested in self-employment is triple the amount of those who have actually taken the plunge, while in London and the West Midlands, that number is double.

Alison Rose, chief executive of commercial and private banking at NatWest, said: "The drop in confidence given the changing economic climate caused by the referendum was no great shock, but as the economy has started to bounce back, we have also seen a gradual rise in the number of people interested in starting a new business.

"Undoubtedly there will be bumps in the road as negotiations on Brexit continue, and confidence levels may fluctuate, but it's very encouraging to see us moving in the right direction again and we expect this to continue post-Q1."

Lander Holding Group agree deal with Katharina Liebherr .
Lander Holding Group have reportedly agreed a deal to buy an 80% stake in Southampton Football Club after signing a formal purchase agreement with Katharina Liebherr. As stated in a report from their official website, the deal was signed back in November 2016 contrary to many recent reports and it’s looking as though negotiations have come to a healthy conclusion. It’s been a seemingly meticulous process for Saints owner Liebherr, who took charge from her late father Markus back in 2010, but it does now look like Lander will take the majority stake in St Mary’s Football Group. However, the report states that the deal hasn’t been totally confirmed just yet, with both Lander Holding Group and the St Mary’s Football Group both awaiting approval from the Premier League before the 80% stake is bought. Saints fans will now hope that Lander can provide added investment for the squad and push the club onto even bigger things.
