Taylor Swift appears to reference Joe Alwyn romance in new love song

Taylor Swift appears to reference Joe Alwyn romance in new love song Taylor Swift has apparently once again used her budding romance with actor Joe Alwyn as inspiration for her new music, judging by her latest tune Call It What You Want. The 27-year-old singer gives fans a glimpse into her personal life on the new track, which she shared on social media in the early hours of Friday morning (03Nov17). In the song, Taylor references her time away from the spotlight following her split from Tom Hiddleston and public feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, crooning: "All the liars are calling me one / Nobody's heard from me for months / I'm doing better than I ever was." She later sings: "All the drama queens taking swings / All the jokers dressing up as kings / They fade to nothing when I look at him." Taylor also slams those who have criticised her "reputation" when it comes to her romantic life, insisting she's found "the one" in British actor Joe, who she reportedly began dating earlier this year. "I want to wear his initial on a chain round my neck / Not because he owns me / But 'cause he really knows me / Which is more than they can say," she belts out. "I recall late November / Holding my breath, slowly I said 'you don't need to save me / But would you run away with me?' Yes.

Many took notice that the release date of Taylor Swift ’ s upcoming album fell on a very significant anniversary for her longtime foe, Kanye West . November 10 is the 10th anniversary of his mother Donda’s passing.

Kanye West fans reportedly streamed 'Hey Mama' 700,000 times on Taylor Swift's 'Reputation' release date.

The 27-year-old pop star dropped her new record on November 10, which fans of the 40-year-old rapper pointed out was the 10-year anniversary of the 'All Day' hitmaker's mom Donda West's death.

Though sources close to Taylor insisted there was "no correlation", the rap star's following had made various social media accounts leading to his 2005 song - from the LP 'Late Registration' - about his mother's passing subsequently seeing a substantial hike in streams on Spotify on the very same day.

Kanye West fans are already over Taylor Swift ' s album , and it hasn't even come out yet. Taylor announced that her sixth album Reputation will be released on November 10, which is also the anniversary of the death of Donda West , Kanye 's mother.

To prevent any of Taylor Swift ’ s new Reputation singles from achieving number 1 on the day of the album ’s release , Kanye West fans are encouraged to play his song “Hey Mama” as many times as possible, with the goal of getting Kanye ’s Late Registration song to number 1 on streaming platforms.

According to website The Ringer, the track went from 23.6 million to 25.3 million steams within 24 hours.

A spokesperson for Taylor previously commented on the coincidental release date, saying: "It is standard practice that releases come out on Fridays and we locked in this release date based on other Universal Music Group releases. There is no correlation."

The pair have been embroiled in a long-running feud ever since the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, when he interrupted her acceptance speech for Best Female Video.

Kanye argued Beyonce was more deserving of the prize and although they buried their differences, he reignited the rivalry when he made reference to Taylor in his song 'Famous'.

On the track, Kanye says: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why, I made that b***h famous."

Meanwhile, the lead single on 'Reputation, 'Look What You Made Me Do', features a number of apparent digs at the likes of Kanye and his wife Kim Kardashian West, among others.

Taylor slams someone for their "tilted stage", something Kanye had during his 'Saint Pablo' tour in 2016, when she sings: "I don't like your little games/ Don't like your tilted stage/ The role you made me play/ Of the fool/ No, I don't like you."

A spokesperson for Spotify is yet to comment.

Taylor Swift's album Reputation ruffles feathers at Grammys voting committee .
Taylor Swift's takedown of artists Katy Perry and Kanye West may harm her album's chances of winning big at the 2018 Grammy Awards. According to editors at British newspaper The Sun, the Shake if Off singer decision to continue her feuds with Fireworks singer Katy and rapper Kanye hasn't gone down well with members of the Grammys voting committee. The 27-year-old also takes aim at exes Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston on new album Reputation, but it has reportedly infuriated industry figures, including members of the Grammys jury, who have worked with Katy and Kanye. “A lot of people on the voting committee are not liking Reputation at all," an insider told the publication. The super-ambitious singer's move to declare open warfare on her enemies appears to have lost her some support. “A lot of the jury members have worked with Katy, Calvin and Kanye so when Taylor has tried to humiliate them, it has left a bad taste. Ultimately she may pay for that when it comes to winning awards," warned the insider. In June (17), Taylor finally put her back catalogue back on Spotify on the same day Katy released her album Witness, a move which was widely interpreted as a bid to overshadow Katy's album. It came as a surprise as Taylor had previously made a high-profile stand against the streaming service in protest over how little stars are paid for streams.
