The big news with Harry Styles for 2017 is that there are rumors he will play Mick Jagger in a biopic about his life in 1973. There were also hints that this was like a diary of Mick Jagger ’s because John Blake said he was “baring his soul” within the writing.

The One Direction star has been concentrating on kicking off his acting career since the group went on hiatus, with a role in the upcoming Christopher Nolan war movie Dunkirk.

It was rumoured last year (16) that Harry could be putting both his acting and singing skills to good use by playing Mick in the tentatively titled biopic Exile on Main Street: A Season in Hell with the Rolling Stones, based on a book of the same name by Robert Greenfield.

Harry Styles accused of copying guitar riff on Ever Since New York

Harry Styles accused of copying guitar riff on Ever Since New York Harry Styles has been accused of ripping off the guitar riff from a '70s Badfinger single for his new track Ever Since New York. The former One Direction star made his live solo debut on U.S. sketch show Saturday Night Live over the weekend (15-16Apr17), when he performed his debut single Sign of the Times and previously unheard album track Ever Since New York. Following the premiere of the song, a number of users took to Twitter to point out similarities between the song's guitar riff and the riff from 1971 Badfinger track Baby Blue, with some even accusing Harry of copying it entirely. One wrote, “I wonder if Harry Styles has ever heard Badfinger’s Baby Blue, and if he will hear from their lawyer," another posted, “So did Harry Styles get permission from Badfinger to use the Baby Blue riff for that song?” A third tweeted, “F**k Harry Styles. Ripoff artist. That riff is NOTE FOR NOTE lifted from Baby Blue by Badfinger. Unbelievable I’m far too upset about Harry Styles stealing the Baby Blue riff. This feels so personal. Is he going to rip off some 10cc or T. REX next?” “This is the last thing Harry needed. His solo launch hasn’t quite gone to plan and this is another distraction," an industry insider told The Sun newspaper. “He takes real pride in his new material and to be accused of nicking a riff will really hurt.” The British singer is expected to give a live solo performance for the second time on The Graham Norton Show, which airs on Friday (21Apr17). Executives of Sony Music, who own Harry's label Columbia, have launched a competition for two lucky fans to win tickets to see the performance, which is taped in London on Thursday (20Apr17).

Harry Styles Cast As Mick Jagger In Rolling Stones Biopic ? Is Harry ’s ‘Another Man’ Magazine Cover A Clue? Harry Styles To Play Mick Jagger In Film About Rolling Stones’ 1972 Album ‘Exile On Main Street’. Harry Styles Hints New Album Will Be Released Soon.

Harry Styleshas hinted he is poised to play Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger in a new biopic . Styles recently released his first solo single since One Direction went on an extended hiatus and will release his first album next month.

And as he appeared on The Graham Norton Show on Friday night (21Apr17), Harry did little to dispel the claims as he took part in a quick fire question round, in which he could only use facial expressions to indicate the validity of the rumours he was asked about.

Most of the questions, such as whether he had ever worked as an estate agent and if he uses a moisturiser made of sheep's placenta, sparked a disgusted look on the singer's face.

However, when host Graham asked Harry if he is about to play Mick in the biopic, all he would do is smile knowingly.

The interview comes just days after the 23-year-old impersonated the veteran rocker on U.S. sketch show Saturday Night Live. Wearing a wig and Jagger-style clothes, Harry took part in a game of Celebrity Family Feud: Time Travel Edition and poked fun at himself by saying, "Solo? Why would anyone in a successful band want to go solo? That is insane."

The pair have long been unlikely pals, with Mick naming Harry when asked in an interview with the Daily Mail who could match his swagger.

"I know him, he comes to see me in lots of shows. And yeah, I can see the influence," Mick said, adding the singer has "got it going on".

Mick Jagger has paid tribute to his late girlfriend L'Wren Scott on what would have been her 53rd birthday on Friday (28Apr17). The fashion designer was found dead in her New York City apartment on 17 March, 2014 after committing suicide. He shared a picture of L'Wren, wearing a white blouse and a patterned headscarf, sniffing a white rose as she looks at the camera. In the caption, he wrote, "Thinking of you on your birthday." Following the news of her death, the rocker wrote on Facebook, "I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way. We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves. She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me I will never forget her.." In her honour, the 73-year-old created a three-year scholarship fund at London fashion school Central Saint Martins to cover the fees for one student each year between 2015 to 2017. Mick is now in a relationship with American ballerina Melanie Hamrick, who gave birth to their first child together, a son named Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger, in December. Following the happy news, L'Wren's brother Randall Bambrough congratulated him on his baby boy.
